Curious post - What names have you heard previously or if you heard them would make you go "wow" (in good way) or a name you'd think was simply sublime? Interested to hear your wow names

I always loved Caleb for a boy but that was a veto from hubby so couldn't go with it. Still love it as a name though. Also love Elijah but again vetoed!

They've both been mentioned already, but my 'wow, that's gorgeous' names are Seraphina and Evangeline.

I love Constance as a name.

NotMyUsualNameNoSiree · 06/05/2020 23:14

I'm thrilled to see some of my favourite names in here.

I love Hero or Aspen for a girl. Not brave enough for either.

For a boy, big fan of: Rafferty, Buzz, Spike... Again no where near brave enough.

Met a distinguished man in his 50s a while back called 'Fox' it really suited him and highly unusual for his age group

Brownyblonde · 06/05/2020 23:23

@NameChange84 don't like 'flavia' it conjures up and sound like a cross between 'flaps' and 'labia' Confused

I've got a friend from the Netherlands who is called Femke and I think it is a gorgeous name.

SciFiWoman · 07/05/2020 03:09

Ooh! Christobel... i always wanted this name!!
I was born mid-sixties, so ended up with a very dull name typical of the times!
I was always reading books about girls and ponies/ adventures etc and always wishing for a lovely unusual name... Darrell Rivers (Mallory Towers) was a particular favourite, and an Italian girl that joined our school called Antonia.
I knew an Avril, too, loved her name (but she was a complete bitch!😮)
I’ve given my girl-dogs nice names over the years to make up for my boring one!😁
