Thoughts on Delta

I am not expecting but a huge fan of baby names and frankly during this quarantine is really a good way to pass time.

I really like the name Delta and it actually holds some meaning to me personally and just wanted to hear what you think of it and these middle name combos. I'd like a normal/common middle to be used as a backup

Delta Caroline
Delta Olivia
Delta Alexandra

Thoughts on it or any other middle names you feel would be a good match? Also I don't live in the US so Delta Airlines is not a big thing here Smile

@Longdistance

I'd change the order to Charlie Oscar Delta Echo and change Foxtrot to Romeo. If you're going to use the phonetic alphabet to name your kids you may as well spell a word.

AfterSchoolWorry · 30/04/2020 19:59

Feels dated.

Freefalling123 · 30/04/2020 20:04

The first thing I thought was Alpha Delta Foxtrot in my best police voice.
It’s a no from me!

Tigersneeze · 30/04/2020 20:47

airline

I'm afraid I don't like it op, even without the airline connection. But someone on a different thread was mulling over "Della" which I think is nice, and "Dellen" is one of my favourite names. Caroline is my favourite of your middle names (and one of my favourite names full stop).

BackforGood · 30/04/2020 21:03

Only if you name your other children Alpha, Beta and so on 🤣

This ^

I'd assume they were spelling out their name phonetically if they said that

Longdistance · 30/04/2020 21:53

@BrooHaHa Foxtrot Oscar’s a great name Wink

iwampix · 30/04/2020 21:55

I'm in the UK and my first thought was Delta Work the drag queen!

Then the airline...

I think it could work as a middle name but seems a bit 'trying too hard to be unique' as a first name?

Supersimkin2 · 30/04/2020 21:58

Minicabs.

gottotalk · 30/04/2020 22:05

It's a lovely name, go for it.

babynamelover · 30/04/2020 22:06

Not a fan sorry. But then I don't really like Greek numbers for childrens names.

wizzywig · 30/04/2020 22:06

Airlines, Goodrum, Frat house

babynamelover · 30/04/2020 22:07

Sorry alphabet not numbers 😂

CupOfTeaNonBio · 30/04/2020 22:11

It's an airline (& I'm British)

IHateCoronavirus · 30/04/2020 22:11

I was thinking it was a taxi company name.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 30/04/2020 22:18

Now I have the bloody taxi song in my head!

Boireannachlaidir · 30/04/2020 22:19

Jesus H Christ.

mollibu · 30/04/2020 22:21

Airline and legally blonde were the first things I thought of Grin

Holothane · 30/04/2020 22:23

Delta and the banner men, sorry it’s a dr who story, first thing that came into my mind.

NameChange84 · 30/04/2020 22:24

I like it. But I’m a big fan of Americana, Country Music etc. I’d probably go with something more like Delta May, Delta Grace, even Delta Rose etc

FlamingoAndJohn · 30/04/2020 22:26

I’m in the UK and my first thought was airline.
I took a Delta flight once. It was a great flight and much better than Virgin who we flew back with.

mollibu · 30/04/2020 22:30

What about Della, OP? I used to go to a school with a Della Rose and have always been fond of her name.

Buttercup54321 · 30/04/2020 22:35

Prefer Della

justanotherneighinparadise · 30/04/2020 22:35

I like it!
