Oooh.... both gorgeous! It's very close, but my vote goes to Naomi as I feel it's slightly more unusual than Elodie which feels more poplular due to the numerous other Ellie names (Eleanor, Ellie, Elinor, Elin, Ellen, Elsa, Ellie, Elise etc).
Plus it's what DS would have been ed, had he been a DD. Grin

I love Elodie, very elegant

DameSquashalot · 13/04/2020 19:33

I love Elodie

bellalou1234 · 13/04/2020 19:33

Elodie

QueenofDestruction · 13/04/2020 19:34

Naomi is gorgeous and the less common of the two

ALittleBirdhouse · 13/04/2020 19:44

I like Naomi. Elodie looks lovely written down but not sure of pronunciation. El-odie? Or does it sound like Melody (without the M). If the latter I think there'd be a lifetime of spelling it out on the phone etc.

Whatsyourflava · 13/04/2020 19:45

Elodie - gorgeous!
Naomi sounds like a horse Nay-ing and everyone mispronounces it differently

Crookshanksthecat · 13/04/2020 19:56

Love Elodie I know a couple and they have no problem with pronunciation

Noémi is another lovely French name and obv very similar to Naomi

Peachbubble · 13/04/2020 19:57

Elodie

Rystall · 13/04/2020 19:59

Naomi. So beautiful.

erised · 13/04/2020 20:00

Elodie is super pretty.

daisypond · 13/04/2020 20:04

Naomi by far.

MikeUniformMike · 13/04/2020 20:07

I'm not keen on either of them.

Elodie is pretty to look at but the sound isn't all that great, and she'll be one of several.
Naomi will be said as NAY-o-mi. Nigh-OH-mi or NIGH-oh-mi and I only like NAY-o-mi

123Dancewithme · 13/04/2020 21:00

Naomi. I’ve never really liked Elodie.

bridgetreilly · 13/04/2020 21:03

Naomi by a mile.

Historyofeverything1 · 13/04/2020 21:06

Elodie.

crabette · 13/04/2020 21:07

Both are really beautiful! I think I love Elodie slightly more, but Naomi is possibly a bit more unique at the moment amid lots of Ella-esque names? So depends on your priorities! Both gorgeous.

yikesanotherbooboo · 13/04/2020 21:08

I think they are both pretty but I prefer Naomi as it has more of a timeless air to me.

biggirlknickers · 13/04/2020 21:10

Naomi. Beautiful name.

I really don’t like Elodie.

DariaMorgendorffer · 13/04/2020 21:13

Naomi

IVflytrap · 13/04/2020 21:13

Both are nice, but I prefer Naomi. Elodie is pretty but may well end up being yet another Ellie.

hellosunshine5 · 13/04/2020 21:14

How are we pronouncing Elodie? I think that will sway my final answer Smile

If it’s pronounced like ‘Melody’ then my choice would be Naomi!

You could always wait until the baby is born and see which name ‘suits’ her best?

CatSmize · 13/04/2020 21:21

Definitely Elodie! Naomi feels very 90s to me.

bridgetreilly · 13/04/2020 21:22

I've never heard it any way other than to rhyme with Melody.

FeedMeSantiago · 13/04/2020 21:27

I like them both but never sure if Elodie is said like Melody or Elle-oh-Dee.

I would pronounce Naomi as Nay-oh-me, as would DH. My parents pronounce it Nigh-oh-me, which we don't like and we therefore struck off our list.
