I prefer Elodie, which usually rhymes with Melody in English.

Naomi is nice, but the various pronunciations could get annoying.

Thanks everyone! I am still undecided, might just have to wait a couple more months until she is here and then decide. I'm just happy we've managed to get down to two names :)

These were my two top choices OP. We went for Elodie but Naomi is a strong contender for current bump if it’s a girl.

I love Elodie. However, the Elodie I know goes by Ellie and the Naomi I know goes by Nay... so prepare for them to be shortened by mates! Both lovely names though

The only Elodie I know, gets called Elodie or Ello.
The Naomis I have known always go by their full name

I massively prefer Elodie which is really pretty. Naomi always sounds a bit moany to me - that 'Oh me!' sound is off-putting.

I get annoyed how people pronounce naomi in 2 different ways (Nye vs Nay)
