Thoughts on the name Rupert? My husband loves it.

I love it too. Both Rupert and Rufus are among my favourite names.

It’s the only boys name we agree on so if our baby is a boy he will be Rupert. Lovely name.

We’ve got a Rupert! So obviously I love it. Had mixed reactions when it was announced. People tend to love it or hate it. One friend thought we were joking! He gets called Rupes, Rupey, Ro Ro and Tiny (he’s only 5 months).

Old fashioned and not particularly nice in my opinion. But if you like it go for it.

It’s a really cool name and fairly mainstream now. No one will raise an eyebrow these days (although older generations might, theyll soon get used to it). Love it

Does anyone know it's popularity at the moment? I can't seem to ever find the UK name stats that are more recent than 2018?

I like it. I know a 10 year old, who mostly goes by Roo.
