Sister for Oscar and Ottilie

Hi, we have our third on the way. Both set on Otis for a boy, but stuck on girls names. I do like Odile a lot, and Orla, but those names haven't stuck with my other half. Recently come across Ophia which sounds beautiful I think though perhaps not so great as part of our sib set. Our kids are Oscar and Ottilie, nick names Ozzy and Ottie. All ideas welcome!!!
Thanks loads

Do they have to be O names before I suggest names? @JoHo8

I really love Olive

JoHo8 · 22/02/2020 19:35

Olivia is definitely out for me, beautiful name but I know so many Olivias already. I like olive too, but other half is less keen, tho I will def work on him with that. Had a play with other olive names like oliviette, but thought olivette may work better with ottilie. However had a google on olivette and the consensus seems to be it's a rubbish name! Yes o names thank you, keeping on my family tradition with that! X x

Ottilie and Odette are both later versions of the same name, Odilia.

Are you giving them a middle name with a different starting letter from one another? If not, it’s going to be tricky for them when they get post when they are older.

YouGoTeIIDrDreDat · 22/02/2020 20:08

Oksana
Ola
Glitterball Strictly fan here Wink

YouGoTeIIDrDreDat · 22/02/2020 20:12

Otlile (how did I forget Oti ffs?!))

although I would be going for
Otilie
Ophelia
Orlaigh

Whatsyourflava · 22/02/2020 20:13

@DreemOn I doubt it. What even arrives in post anymore? My doctors letters are now online. Phone bill and bank went online ages ago. Only official post I now get is Hmrc and I’ve seen there’s an online option for that now too. I doubt “post” will be a consideration in 15 years

YouGoTeIIDrDreDat · 22/02/2020 20:19

Áine if you want matchy but not obsessed with the o
(Onya if you don't have Irish people in your life to offend the spelling with! Wink)

JoHo8 · 22/02/2020 20:22

@DreemOn yes dont worry they all have different letter middle names Grin

Orelia (golden but I prefer Aurelia/Aurélie)

JoanieCash · 22/02/2020 20:23

You already have an Ottilie and are thinking of Otis for a boy? They’re too similar. Presumably both abbreviated to Ottie/oti. Also, same initials for kids means they’re opening each other’s post as teenagers. I’d rethink Otis too

JoHo8 · 22/02/2020 20:23

You ladies are brilliant thank you
