Timeless

I do think the common abbreviations are a little dated though.

Timeless. It’s been around for thousands of years, so definitely not a fad!

@CormoranStrike I’m going to change my answer from “dated” and say it’s not he timeless and dated

Because the name has totally ranked in recent years (about to leave the top 200) you would definitely assume someone called Rebecca was in their 20/30s. So that for me dates it. Names like emma and Sophie have stayed top 10 so you can’t predict the age with them

Just to pop back and add that my Rebecca's nickname is Boo. Cringe away if you want to. She's called Becky at home and Boo by friends. Sometimes Rivka.

Most names have been around for thousands of years. That doesn't prevent them from becoming fashionable and then sounding dated!

I suppose it is timeless, but it’s very dull. Becky isn’t nice.

I know a Rebecca who loves her name and loves the shortened version of her name Becky

Compared to Rebecca my name is horrendous

In the lists that appear on here it seems every other person agrees with me

It’s my middle name. I like it and wish my parents had used it as my first name. I’m 42!

Timeless. I think it is a great name which suits both a child and an adult.

Timeless and beautiful.

Rebecca is timeless but Becky is dated and widely thought very meh, so that's the issue with this name.

There are a few baby/very small Beccas round our way. Seems to still be alive and well and all the Rebecca's I've known have been fab.

Time,4ss. I agree that most, well all of the shortening are naff, Bex, Becky, etc, though.

I have an 8 year old Rebecca - am of course biased but I think it's a timeless name. I know of a couple of other Rebeccas round about the same age.
