Love Rebecca but not keen on the shortenings ie Becky, Beck, Becca

I know a Reb.

I thought very dated,
80s / 90s name
And then Beyoncé sang about Becky with the good hair
And Becky is now an insult
So I wouldn’t personally use it

But I’m sure by the time any baby is old enough things will have changed again

I'd say timeless although I haven't come across any for a long time (primary school teacher). I really like it.

Timeless. I know a few Rebecca's from children to women in their 50s. Lovely name.

I have a Rebecca in her mid 20s. Were some around her age but I haven’t heard of any since. We always call her Bec, her friends call her Becky but she is Rebecca at work. I still really like the name.

Timeless

Dd1 is Rebecca .... she's the only one at her secondary school which is great as usually that only happens with wacky names!

Sounds very dated to me and dislike the shortenings!

I associate it with the nineties. Don't particularly like it myself but it's not generally objectionable.

I am a Rebecca

I hate it

Rebecca is a mouthful and harsh sounding

Becky is bleugh

Bec gets heard as Bev or Beth

Sorry to OP and all the timeless agreers!

I'm one too. Don't do it!
For some reason I get called Rachel an awful lot.
The shortenings are rubbish (apart from mine).
We have a very senior manager at work called Becci. Becci should be a person who draws a little heart above the i.

I think it's timeless but prefer the spelling Rebekah.
