My SO and I have had a lot of fun with names however baby girl is due in 3 weeks and we are yet to agree on one. We are set on the middle name Belle, a family name. I would love to hear your opinions/what name you like best from our list. Thank you in advance

Are you both white British or a different ethnic group and nationality?
Some of the names are rather... unusual.
Of the list I think I would go for Pandora or maybe Saffron. None of the others! Alicia is OK (rather than Acacia).
Please NOT Soleil!
Lastly you say "significant other", if you aren't married and don't share a surname with your partner, please make sure you give baby your surname (with or without his too).

kenandbarbie · 27/12/2019 15:33

Hmmm they're all a bit ...... different, aren't they.

PlantPotting · 27/12/2019 15:34

I love unusual names normally but sorry I really dislike your list, sounds very downmarket you me (I’m sorry I know that sounds very rude but just trying to give honest opinion)

kenandbarbie · 27/12/2019 15:34

I'd go Belle as first name.

PlantPotting · 27/12/2019 15:35
  • to me (not ‘you me’)
Brot64 · 27/12/2019 15:35

Sorry all terrible! Worst is Wisteria.

PlantPotting · 27/12/2019 15:36

Yes Belle is nice how about Annabelle or Arabella (assuming Isabelle is too popular for you)

MikeUniformMike · 27/12/2019 15:39

Acacia - middle name Avenue?
Cedar - Way, Drive, Road or Tree
Evadne - Hinge & Hilda Bracket
Izumi - Pearl Izumi cycling gear
Kerensa - ok. bit different
Pandora - naff bracelets, box
Saffron - ok
Soleil - own brand suntan lotion
Wisteria - back to street names.

I'll throw in a wildcard. Shanta.

SylvanianFrenemies · 27/12/2019 15:39

Saffron, Evadne or Kerenza.

Not Wisteria.

Not Izumi, unless you have a genuine ethnic or cultural connection.

SylvanianFrenemies · 27/12/2019 15:40

@MikeUniformMike is that how Sean Connery says "Santa"?!

BackforGood · 27/12/2019 15:41

Hmm. Struggling to find anything I even slightly like there.

What is your cultural background ? Are any of the names related to that ?

thebakerwithboobs · 27/12/2019 15:45

I love Kerenza. Wisteria sounds like a disease.

eveshopper · 27/12/2019 15:48

Are they all names?

MikeUniformMike · 27/12/2019 15:50

I thought Shanta Belle was pretty.

KatherineJaneway · 27/12/2019 15:50

Only one I like is Saffron.

viques · 27/12/2019 15:56

Dora Belle. Has a certain ring to it.

MikeUniformMike · 27/12/2019 15:58

A you're a Dora Belle...
Adele Belle?
Isabel Belle
Jingle Belle

mintich · 27/12/2019 15:59

Soleil reminds me of Soleil Moon Frye, but not sure it sounds great with Belle

SageRosemary · 27/12/2019 16:00

Yes, @viques, you gotta love a Dora Belle, its adorable!

daisypond · 27/12/2019 16:02

Soleil doesn’t work for a girl. It’s a masculine word.

rhubarbarkle · 27/12/2019 16:05

I quite like Evadne

Coldhandscoldheart · 27/12/2019 16:11

Kerensa is lovely, saffron is quite nice too. Not fond of evadne, but it works fairly well with belle.

eveshopper · 27/12/2019 16:11

How can anyone get adorable from door bell Grin

Ridiculousanx · 27/12/2019 16:11

Kerensa is my favourite, if I had to pick one.

Bobbiepin · 27/12/2019 16:13

Izumi is my favourite, would you use Izzy as a nn? Otherwise Keren instead of Kerensa.
