For no other reason than i'm a nosy bugger. I was wondering what names you have seen grow in popularity this year, have there been any surprises?
So one boys name and one girls.

Clettercletterthatsbetter · 02/12/2019 11:54
The last two babies I know that have been born have been called Ralph and Luna, so you may well be right!
Militantmartha · 02/12/2019 15:13
Agree that both are already quite popular, I've also heard the name Ada for girls and Remy used a lot lately for boys

I know 3 babies called Roman (with an m)
Cbeebiesrehab · 02/12/2019 16:48
My son was going to be Rowan but we changed our minds. Seems like it’s rocketing in popularity, along with Roman, as I see it mentioned here all the time! Haven’t met either IRL though.
TerribleCustomerCervix · 02/12/2019 16:50
A bit NI specific, but every second girl I’ve heard of being born recently has been called Fiadh
MissHenty · 02/12/2019 17:08
If it’s not too out-ing what did you decide on instead @Cbeebiesrehab ?
Cbeebiesrehab · 02/12/2019 17:10
We decided on Jude @MissHenty
Leopardprintboots · 02/12/2019 17:11
Hunter and Roman are booming, have met lots of babies with those names. Wasn’t surprised to read they were officially last years’ fastest rising names within top 100.
Leopardprintboots · 02/12/2019 17:31
In terms of girls’ names, I know two baby Matilda’s but I think that’s maybe just a coincidence because it wasn’t one of the fastest rising names last year
Panpastels · 02/12/2019 17:33
I know so many pets called Luna, but no babies as yet.
KeithPartridge · 02/12/2019 17:34
Roman just makes me think of Roman Polanski, the child rapist.
KindnessCrusader · 02/12/2019 17:35
So many baby Jaspers near me! The first one I thought how lovely and unusual!
LikeSilentRaindrops · 02/12/2019 17:36
