Which one seems more feminine?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
TokyoSushi · 26/10/2019 22:33

Neither, its a no from me, sorry OP!

Singlenotsingle · 26/10/2019 22:34

Not keen on either, but Harley is better (slightly).

NewIdeasToday · 26/10/2019 22:35

Unfortunately neither seem feminine. As it’s the name of a motorcycle.

DramaAlpaca · 26/10/2019 22:35

It's a no from me, too. Sorry.

If you must, spell it Harlie. Harley is a boys' name & Harleigh is fussy.

NerdyCurvyInkedandPervy · 26/10/2019 22:36

If you're going to do it, you might as well ise the proper name - Harley.

Just be aware she'll be known as a really good ride...

HotSince82 · 26/10/2019 22:36

Harleigh is awful.
Harley is acceptable I suppose but lots of people will automatically make the Harley Quinn association. Are you ok with that?

mamandematribu · 26/10/2019 22:37

Neither. Terrible name, sorry

Loaf90 · 26/10/2019 22:38

Neither!!!

DaveMyHat · 26/10/2019 22:40

Harley I don't mind. Haven't heard it before (apart from the bikes). I don't like Harleigh.

GorkyMcPorky · 26/10/2019 22:40

Neither.

bobbley · 26/10/2019 22:40

You really want your daughter to end up having a nickname associated with being a bike or a ride?

goingdownsouth · 26/10/2019 22:44

Neither. What's your next choice?

Shadow1234 · 26/10/2019 22:50

Love it! The little Harley I know (girl), spells it Harley.

Saharafordessert · 26/10/2019 22:51

Do you have any other names lined up?

Besidesthepoint · 26/10/2019 22:51

She will be made fun of in her teens

PurpleFrames · 26/10/2019 22:53

Harley is male spelling, Leigh is the female ending. Kayleigh etc

gnushoes · 26/10/2019 23:05

Why does it have to be feminine? She's a girl - don't need to prove it with a frilly name.
Harley is the only acceptable spelling.

spice3 · 26/10/2019 23:12

Harley (and I wouldn't worry about bullying with it).

Harleigh looks weird.

dreichsky · 26/10/2019 23:16

I would consider the teenage bullying if you are in the UK OP.
Neither are very feminine names either as you asked about that.

beethebee · 26/10/2019 23:24

I’d think carefully about this one OP.

The only Harley I knew was teased mercilessly in her childhood (Harley Quinn) and teens (riding and bike references) and hated her name bitterly.

She’s an adult now and goes by her middle name. She says she feels like her name ruined her childhood.

PetraRabbit · 26/10/2019 23:24

It's a very masculine name. Harleigh is a strange spelling that doesn't really work so if you love the name it has to be Harley.

MrsDeadSheeran · 26/10/2019 23:50

Outing, my name is Harley, I hate it. I've never been bullied about my name, or jokes about being a good ride Hmm or any of the above. I do constantly have people getting my name wrong, (Hayley, carley, Marley, holly, kylie- even Karen?!) and i always seem to get a double take from people when I tell them my name, when going for interviews, appointments etc people assume it will be a male that arrives. But I've had many comments about how nice and unusual my name is. Just be prepared to correct people constantly

percheron67 · 26/10/2019 23:59

Neither. However, if you are really keen on the motorbike theme you could try Yammy (Yamaha), Suzy(Suzuki , Beamer (BMW).

Peggywoolley · 27/10/2019 00:05

Harleigh is a terrible spelling, sorry.

Harley is OK.

TwistedBirkenstockBlister · 27/10/2019 00:07

What about Harper instead?
