What do you think of the girls name Shireen?

It would make me think of the GoT character and her horrific death sadly. It is a nice sounding name though. Maybe you can find sonething similar?

I know 2 people called Shireen. They’re south East Asian.

I've heard of Cherene, not too keen though tbh.

Shireen is my sister's name OP (same spelling), and we are of ME descent. She does get compliments on her name and 'Ah, like the GoT character' remarks, not in a bad way though. A lot of people ask her if she knows what it means, which PP have pointed out, means 'sweet'. I might be biased here, but I say go for it 😁.

I know an absolutely lovely lady called Shireen. It's a Muslim name meaning "sweet". Go for it if you have some connection to it 🤷🏽‍♀️

Never heard name before but I do think it's quite pretty.

Absolutely love this name. I have come across a couple of them, with Iranian or Indian / Pakistani connections.

I prefer the Shirin spelling, although people might pronounce that slightly differently. I knew a white British Shereen growing up, FWIW.

I like it - I had a friend called Shireen and school , spelt their same way, her dad was Pakistani.

I know a Shireen. She’s in her 40s. Long before GoT. Pretty name.

Spelled that way it reminded of the GOT character who was burned to death. Not a great choice.
