This name seems to have become popular lately but, people can't seem to grasp how to pronounce it...
It's AARON as in air-on (biblical).
Fools say ARRON as in A-Ron.
It's simple English!
Can't understand why they do this.
This thread is in response to a member who said that it's pronounced ARRON: were that to be the case, then AARON would be spelt ARRON!

There, I knew I shouldn't have said "standard" UK pronunciation because I know full well that regional accents will make hay of anything like that! Grin

In dictionary pronunciation (not sure that's any better but anyway!) Ka-ren would be Ka- as in cat, and then -run, like a child would say ruh but with an N on the end.
Whereas aardvark would be ar as in car.

Freaks don't worry, I like your style. Remember, when the Tiggers have all been eaten by the zombies the perpetually narky shall inherit the earth! As per your username Grin

This annoys me too, it should be Air-on for Aaron. I'm from Scotland so the rise and rise of the Arran pronunciation is just irritating and clearly a confusion with the Isle of Arran.
