You don’t need an unusual name, remember he won’t always be 2 and cute, he’ll grow up, be someone Dad one day, someone granpa.
Both awful and naff.

SoftBlocks · 11/09/2019 19:17

Roman

cornstarch · 11/09/2019 19:28

Ronan is ok

MileyWiley · 11/09/2019 19:29

Much prefer Bodhi.

MissHenty · 11/09/2019 19:49

@user1573624 yes graph speaks for itself
I think Roman is heading for the top 10 in a couple of years time of this growth trajectory continues

I saw two episodes of Baby Club on CBeebies this week, each little group of about 8 babies both had a Rowan in

MissHenty · 11/09/2019 19:49
  • if

  • Roman

Icantthinkofanynewnames · 11/09/2019 20:38

I really dislike Bodhi! Agree with a PP that it’s become a bit of a joke name... rightly or wrongly it is a name that people sort of seem to use as an example of something really naff. Roman is okay but I wouldn’t say I liked it. I don’t know of any personally.

BillywilliamV · 11/09/2019 20:39

Poor little sod!

MrsTerryPratchett · 11/09/2019 20:41

Bodhi is awful. And culturally insensitive but no one else thinks that.

I associate Roman with Poland. Which is part of the reason why there's an up tick I assume. Nice name and easy to spell.

MrsTerryPratchett · 11/09/2019 20:42

Oh and the most famous Roman is of course a rapist and child abuser.

QueefLatifah · 11/09/2019 20:45

Bodhi is how my 2 year old says bogey

Just call him Alexander

WestEndWendie · 11/09/2019 20:46

Just use your middle name. Alexander is lovely. The other two are awful, sorry.

Hey1256 · 11/09/2019 20:48

Roman. Bodhi is horrid

user1493494961 · 11/09/2019 21:00

I vote for Alexander.

MissHenty · 11/09/2019 21:58

Yes would you consider Alexander as a first name OP @Geebee123 ?

If popularity is your concern I recon Roman will overtake Alexander in the next couple of years so you could just pick Alexander

mintich · 11/09/2019 22:13

Roman

Kokeshi123 · 12/09/2019 02:17

Bodhi makes we think of bogey, sorry.

Roman is quite nice.

Astronica · 12/09/2019 04:25

I prefer Roman. But I would much prefer Ronan.

AverageMummy · 12/09/2019 05:18

Bodhi is 0.05% of babies..... 1 in 200 kids is hardly popular.

And yes it’s pretty bloody terrible.

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 12/09/2019 05:26

I have never heard of the name Bodhi.

I know a coupe of Romans, both in their late twenties

flumpybear · 12/09/2019 06:37

Not bodhi- I think playground taunts if bogey, body or booby - remember the school book Fungus the bogeyman - ever to be called Fungus if it's still at school these days

Roman is better

AuntieStella · 12/09/2019 06:46

Roman Alexander - classic Russian

Bodhi Alexander - doesn't 'sit' together anywhere near as well

MoggyP · 12/09/2019 07:04

?? I've never heard allegations of that sort against Roman Abramovic (one more likely to be famous also in UK).

Do remember it's a perfectly normal name - about as common as Robert - and a good way to honour heritage

Aethelthryth · 12/09/2019 07:06

Both awful.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 12/09/2019 07:08

Alexander is lovely - timeless: won’t date and suits all ages of life. I don’t know any little boy Alexes.

Bodhi makes me cringe, sorry. Really like Roman but might be a bit ‘trendy’ and therefore date.
