A click-baity title is needed as I am actually due in 5 days, Christ. And people on mumsnet are very attracted to the word ‘chav’ or variants aren’t they.

Ooh I absolutely love WREN, I've never heard of it as a person's name
I know Mick Jagger had a girlfriend called L'Wren (I don't like this, too affected if you know what I mean)
I do know a Savannah and unfortunately she is called Sav for short (Anna would sound better imo)

Wren is nice if she is likely to be petite but not ideal for a tall girl. The rest... I agree with your MIL.

Skye or Savannah. Wren is everywhere now. It’s this generation’s Dawn and will date badly. Not Harper or Everly or Harlow.

Someone I know called her daughter Harper-Leigh, when asked if she loved the book she claimed to have never heard of it 🙈 She then went on to call another kid Jaxon-Lee 🤢

Wren is the best but I don’t love any of those names really. I think they’ll all age badly tbh.

Wren or Skye. Both are lovely. Savannah is OK.

Or just take full inspiration from your MILF and call her Chavia Everly-Dae.

I’ve never heard Everly before. I also like Wren and Skye. Savannah is not to my taste but there’s nothing awful about it.

Wren is definitely not chavvy! We know one and her parents are spectacularly well-educated and cultured. I do always wonder about people saying “what, Ren? Your name’s just ‘Ren’?!” when being met by someone outside our particular middle class melee...

Anyway, Skye is also more hippy to me than chavvy, and I know a grown up one who’s an artist (posh).

The rest are probably going to date badly and create expectations of what she might be like when you read her CV. I have the same involuntary problem with ‘Haylee’, ‘Kayleigh’, ‘Liane’ etc., you always form a mental impression of what the adult will be like, in a way that never happens with Kate, Amanda, Stephanie, Louise, which seem neutral...
