What are your thoughts on the name Nebuchadnezzar? Could it be used as a middle name? Maybe just to differentiate a bit... Like William Nebuchadnezzar?

Only if his middle names will be Jereboam Salmanazar.

Tartyflette · 07/09/2019 17:41

Ffs. ...whose given name...

endofthelinefinally · 07/09/2019 17:42

I knew a chap called Hercules many years ago. He called himself Les.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 07/09/2019 17:44

I'm a great believer in 'call your baby what you want' but even I would draw the line at this.

My middle name is Elizabeth and I was about 7 before I could spell it correctly. His friends will be about 15 before they can.

LaMarschallin · 07/09/2019 17:44

@AdaColeman

Only use it if you have a Babylonian family background. 😀

titsbumfannythelot · 07/09/2019 17:46

It sounds like the name of Jacob Rees-Mogg's next child. It's a hell no from me 👎

BoneyBackJefferson · 07/09/2019 17:47

My first thought at seeing this was the ship from the matrix.

theoriginalmadambee · 07/09/2019 17:49

So Nabucco for short, and his sister is La Traviata. 🤣

Even if you are an opera buff, please don't.

NotaRealLawyer · 07/09/2019 18:00

It's a good name if:
-your second name is Dingle
-you live in Emmerdale

strawberriesandrosepetals · 07/09/2019 18:21

Thought you'd lent on your keyboard by accident.

Juog · 07/09/2019 18:26

No,it sounds as stupid as it looks, poor child.

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 07/09/2019 18:33

That you Reece Mogg?

Run out of numbers?

campion · 07/09/2019 18:43

Just asked DH to spell it and he got it right first time!
His DM should've been more adventurous.

OP ...you're having a laff.

@terraform...I once taught a Pocohontas. Poco for short.

AuntieStella · 07/09/2019 18:46

Yes, drink problem and/or conceived after a heck of a lot of champagne!

simonisnotme · 07/09/2019 18:55

put it this way
how would 'you' like to have that as a name ?
bloody ridiculous

Antonin · 07/09/2019 20:51

At least pick a name of a good character from the Bible

King of the Jews
Bought his wife a pair of shoes
When the shoes began to wear

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nebuchadnezzar_II

Just in case you don't know about his -illustrious read notorious career, the book of Jeremiah calls him the 'destroyer of nations'.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 08/09/2019 09:09

We had a little Ulysses as nursery. One parent muttered ‘wow - epic’ when he heard it.

CandyLeBonBon · 08/09/2019 09:09

BAHAHAHAHAHA

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 08/09/2019 09:10

Hey candy - that’s a good name!

TheCatsACunt · 08/09/2019 09:15

You’re all much better than me as you seemed to immediately think of biblical links, and I’m here wondering how fast I could actually drink 15 liters of champagne.

For those who are hugely interested: I figure it’s take at least a month, if I really pushed myself. I’m not a fan of white wines, or fizzy wines. Therefore, on that basis, I dislike the name Nebuchadnezzar.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 08/09/2019 09:16

As a teacher, I’ve seen my fair share of terrible names but this would top them all. I know you’re only suggesting it as a middle name but please don’t. If that were my name, I’d be changing it the second I turned 18.
