What are your thoughts on the name Nebuchadnezzar? Could it be used as a middle name? Maybe just to differentiate a bit... Like William Nebuchadnezzar?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
endofthelinefinally · 07/09/2019 17:15

No.
There are lots of other nice biblical names to choose from.

birdlawyer · 07/09/2019 17:15

Umm, what?

DragonMamma · 07/09/2019 17:16

Dear god. No.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 07/09/2019 17:16

Symptomless · 07/09/2019 17:16

Honestly, I think people would laugh at you/him.

FartnissEverbeans · 07/09/2019 17:23

Yes go for it

Trivia: it’s the name of the ship in the 2nd Matrix film

LaMarschallin · 07/09/2019 17:26

If you want a long biblical name Mahershalalhashbaz might do.
Baz for short?

I came across that in "What Katy Did at School" so it must be good.

If it's the champagne thing, what about Melchizedek?
And you get more champagne too.

Shelvesoutofbooks · 07/09/2019 17:27

This is a joke right

DramaAlpaca · 07/09/2019 17:27

Don't be daft.

user1493494961 · 07/09/2019 17:27

Why would you?

PotteringAlong · 07/09/2019 17:28

No. You will never fit it on official forms.

CendrillonSings · 07/09/2019 17:30

No problem - and they can also use “Chad” for short!

june2007 · 07/09/2019 17:32

He wasn't exactly a good king was he? I do like biblical names but I think you have to be quite brave and determined to go for this.

Perunatop · 07/09/2019 17:32

Are you my DH? He is still complaining that I refused to consider it over 20 years later.

terraform · 07/09/2019 17:33

brother for Pocahontas?

MrsTerryPratchett · 07/09/2019 17:33

William Nebuchadnezzar

I knew someone with a similarly odd combo. Ludwig then a bog standard name. He's very easy to find online.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 07/09/2019 17:35

I prefer Michael Methuselah... Alliteration always helps Grin

SunshineAngel · 07/09/2019 17:36

Honestly right, please don't do this.
When I was in Reception class, we were only allowed to go into Group 2 when we were able to write our own name, and it took me long enough as it was. Can you imagine!!

Glitterandsparks · 07/09/2019 17:37

Imagine at nursery though, there'll never be 2.

I envision attendance would be like, "Oliver, Jack, Milo, Charlie, Nebuchadnezzar, Alfie..."

Only use it if you have a Babylonian family background.

Tartyflette · 07/09/2019 17:40

Yeah, good one. 😆
I used to work with someone who's given name was Ebenezer (*or something v. similar and not outing)
He very sensibly called himself Joe.

LuckyLuckyWoman · 07/09/2019 17:40

DH wanted Septimus, thankfully it didn't suit DD.

It's a no from me.
