Castiel Quinn
Malakai Torin

Nn Cass and Kai

We've come a long way from Balthazar and Theseus and they're never going to Jack and Henry level of normal.

Thoughts?

Cass and Kai do sound like a Nissan car together Wink... but actually, yes, I do quite like those names and the nicknames.

user1493494961 · 02/09/2019 16:15

They're OK, prefer Malachi spelling.

MrsJoshNavidi · 02/09/2019 16:17

Cass and Kai together sound very Wayne Rooney but not in a good way.
If that's what you like, go for it!

Bumbags · 02/09/2019 16:18

Please spell Malachi properly.

Hate Kai as a shortening of Malachi though.

You also sound like you are copying Wayne Rooney’s Kids names 🤣🤣🤣

I think I would rethink Malachi actually so you don’t have matching K sounds.

Love Cass.

Bumbags · 02/09/2019 16:19

🤣🤣🤣 x post

BoswellsBollocks · 02/09/2019 16:19

Cass and Kai are both Rooney kids names. Just mentioning in case that could bother you.

FreckledLeopard · 02/09/2019 16:20

Not keen at all. I'd much rather Balthazar and Theseus.

BoswellsBollocks · 02/09/2019 16:20

I’m way too slow typing 🤦🏻‍♀️

Caspianberg · 02/09/2019 16:21

Sorry I don't like them at all...

Quinten Torin
Caspian Malachi

cocomelon23 · 02/09/2019 16:23

Aren't they the Rooney's kids names?

Sparklysunflower · 02/09/2019 16:26

I love Quinn and Torin! I'd use those as first names.

Littlechocola · 02/09/2019 16:27

Much prefer @Caspianberg suggestions.

They feel slightly ‘try hard’.

MistyMinge2 · 02/09/2019 16:29

I much prefer the middle name choices

TerribleCustomerCervix · 02/09/2019 16:32

Malakai is dreadful, but I actually don’t mind Castiel.

Both middle names are nicer than the first names though.

Cass and Kai also immediately made me think of the Rooneys, so if you’re specifically aiming for unusual I’d steer clear.

Expressedways · 02/09/2019 16:33

Nissan Qashqai. If they’re still making them when your twins turn 17 then that’s their present sorted.
I really like Torin and even much prefer Balthazar and Thessus to your current picks.

BertrandRussell · 02/09/2019 16:35

Why are you spelling Malachi like that?

AlexandPea · 02/09/2019 16:45

Really not keen. Those names on a school register would instinctively make me think that they would be disruptive with parents who encourage their “uniqueness”!

What about Caspar/Caspian and Melchior/Malcolm/Michael/?

IsobelRae23 · 02/09/2019 16:58

Rooney’s fan??

DontCallMeShitley · 02/09/2019 16:58

Sorry, but bloody hell, they are awful.

notso · 02/09/2019 17:00

You've gone from Rees-Mogg to Rooney. Not keen on either end of the spectrum except Cass.

Fooferella · 02/09/2019 17:01

I prefer the middle names. I think you should reverse the order and have a Quinn Castiel and a Torin Malachi. You could NN Torin to Tor.

But they're your kids so name them something you love!

dublinmama1 · 02/09/2019 17:13

Castiel and Pollux?

dublinmama1 · 02/09/2019 17:13

OOOHH i really like Melchior

dublinmama1 · 02/09/2019 17:15

Kai means food in Maori

SleepingStandingUp · 02/09/2019 17:24

I'm aware of the Rooney connection to the nicknames, guess I was hoping it might be missed and I might get away with it. I love the names, always the option of Mal instead of Kai as definately not aiming to copy the Rooney and he'd have been out the door ehikst I contacted an amazing lawyer long before all the other kids came along if I was Colleen.

Re Cass... I like Caspian and Cassius, DH doesn't. He likes Cassidy. I don't. We both think Casper is a friendly ghost. We both like Castiel. I think that is set in stone. He really likes Quinn and I'm less sure. Middle name seemed like a good compromise.

It's me who adores Malachi / Kai. Seen both spellings, latter seems more sensible to nickname the ending sound.
Torin I really like, DH is ambivalent about so no way would I get it as a first name.

Naming one was hard enough, and @AlexandPea if teachers are going to judge me based on a name rather than any interaction from me, I suspect the shop sialed with DS my PFB
