I've been trying to upload a photo of our gorgeous 17hr old dd and have failed miserably. We had chosen the name Dinah and I'd stupidly thought she'd look like my other 2 even though she's got a different dad. First thing dh said to me after she was born was that she certainly doesnt look like a Dinah and I agree. Nothing seems to suit her. Dh has started calling her Beryl...please suggest something else before it sticks! My other DC are Joseph and Susannah. Thank you.

Merida?
It's the name of the princess from the film Brave. She's got amazing red hair and is fierce!
Maybe Meredith?

Or have we moved away from the redhead theme now?

Lovely! It's a version of Keziah and fits in with your other names. Love Jean as the middle name.

DizzyPhillips · 13/04/2019 00:41

Thank god.

Beryl? Dinah? This can’t be real.

I'm glad that Beryl didn't stick.

OopsOhNoZHM · 15/04/2019 00:18

With my first, we had his name picked from before we knew he was a boy. And then he was born, and he looked like a Toby! I couldn’t explain it but he was absolutely a Toby in my mind! We went ahead with the original name and he grew into it and suits it now, and I’m glad I didn’t change it.
Dinah is an awesome name, and you know there’s not going to be another in her year group at school!

RomanyQueen1 · 15/04/2019 00:20

congratulations. Thanks

FWIW I felt like this with all 3 of ours. I couldn't say what they should have looked like, but it just sounded wrong.

They grew into their names we didn't choose different ones.
