Middle Name For Harlow

Please help me decide!!

Harlow Olivia
Harlow Livea
Harlow Livienne
Harlow Ameline
Harlow Amelie
Harlow Amelia
Harlow Avianna

I love Olivia with Harlow but it's so popular and trendy that I'm kinda like blah on it.

Livea is a legit name that has been around even before Olivia. I like this spelling because Livia looks like you're butchering Olivia but Livea kind of looks unique.

I love Livienne but some people say it looks made up. I dont know the history. I just heard it and liked it. But I worry it's too rhymey with other middle names I may want to use for future children. Is that crazy? Does it matter if middle names rhyme or sound similar?

Other considerations are honor names like Ameline. I dont like Amelia as a first name but as a middle name with Harlow it sounds kinda good. So does Amelie.

I love Avianna but does it sound good in the middle spot?

I clearly need help deciding!! Thank you for the help!

Madeleine is a beautiful name. Harlow is appalling

Whoops75 · 16/03/2019 22:50

Your child doesn’t have to have one.
I didn’t give my daughter a middle name, they’re never used and I couldn’t find one I loved.

Rachelhaydenberk1 · 16/03/2019 23:02

You gals are hilarious!!

Let’s be honest the UK crowd won’t like surname first names.

I don’t like them in the U.K., but they’re fine in the US.

I’d pretty much like any surname as first name better than Harlow - except maybe Weinstein.

pioe · 16/03/2019 23:33

Harlow Loretta
Harlow Loren
Harlow Leticia
Harlow Quinn ;)

Harlow is a perfectly fine popular name op I don't know why everyone is getting their knickers in a twist. Everyone has different tastes.

Fraula · 17/03/2019 00:08

Grace is also a winner

Fraula · 17/03/2019 00:11

Lila
Pearl
Wren

NunoGoncalves · 17/03/2019 01:19

The best bit is that OP didn't once ask for opinions on the first name, but everyone took on themselves to be dicks about it anyway.
OP, I'm very impressed at the fact that you didn't just say fuck this and give up.

Ellenborough · 17/03/2019 02:08

another option is Violetta

That’s too much of a mouthful. But Harlow Violet is lovely.

MaybeitsMaybelline · 17/03/2019 02:19

I hate made up names, sorry.

Quintella · 17/03/2019 02:24

@NunoGoncalves, I'm in complete agreement. What a gracious OP in the face of such knobby MNers.

RosemaryHoight · 17/03/2019 02:37

Marie. Harlow Marie Haydenberk.

BlackPrism · 17/03/2019 02:39

Ameline. Beautiful flow

RosemaryHoight · 17/03/2019 02:40

You posting in the wrong place op to get opinions about the name that would work in the us but in the London region at least of the U.K. Sounds a bit off. Use the name you like and have fun with your baby.

Antonin · 17/03/2019 03:24

I think Harlow Madeleine is a nicely balanced combination.

Btw what a pity that ex governor of Alaska didn’t ask MN for advice before naming her daughter Bristol

Topseyt · 17/03/2019 04:11

I also live in Essex, about half an hour's drive from Harlow. I don't find it an attractive place.

I am amused that you find it very feminine. Grin

I get that things are different in the US though, and you won't have the association with the Essex town.

If I had to pick want of the suggested middle names though I would go with Grace or Amelie/Amelia.

Topseyt · 17/03/2019 04:12

Nothing wrong with Madeleine as a middle name too.

BlackPrism · 17/03/2019 04:14

Why not Harley?

Ouchmytoe · 17/03/2019 05:49

Harlow Olivia - like this. Olivia is common but I think it's so beautiful that the beauty outweighs the common-ness (is that a word?)
Harlow Livea - really dislike this spelling - it looks made up. 'Livia' is nicer but it doesn't flow as well with Harlow
Harlow Livienne - I also think this looks a bit made up and I don't really like the sound
Harlow Ameline - don't like Ameline
Harlow Amelie - nice!
Harlow Amelia - hate the name Amelia just because every baby girl in the whole world is called Amelia now
Harlow Avianna - This is cool!

Don't worry about the Harlow/Essex thing. I'm from SE England and I didn't even think of this. I'm sure most people won't - it does sound lovely. Although if it does bother you, what about Marlow/Marlowe?
