I don't love any boy names

Expecting a little boy in 4 months, only trouble is there are no names that I love. I like Charlie, Jacob and Jack but can't use these, but I also don't love them. I don't want a name that's everywhere and is really common but I feel like all the names I like are, but again, I just don't love them? Help!

Carter? Just heard it in the street! (They do look like hipsters though) Wny surnames on your side that you could use as a first name?

RayaJambalaya · 01/03/2019 13:28

How about Cassius, Cass for short.
Or there is a Carver in one of my baby groups which I quite like!

Caleb? Sounds like Jacob

We couldn't really agree on a boy name but I suggested a surname and everyone liked it (even the other side of the family) so if DD was a boy she would have continued a dead (in the close-ish family, not in the country) surname

Felix

Thanks for all suggestions, none of them grab me though Sad I really want to love the name, I want it to be special but nothing seems to be giving me that 'the one' feeling. It's so difficult!

What sort of girls names do you love ? We can maybe get a feel for what you are after ? What about surnames as first names

MrsJayy · 01/03/2019 14:46

Any family names you could use a grandad or uncle ?

Anyone you look up to? A pioneer in a field toy care about? So the name has a meaning you may love rather than the name it's self?

Flamingosnbears · 01/03/2019 14:54

How about Austin?...

desertmama1 · 01/03/2019 14:57

I'm in the exact same position! I'm having a baby early April and still haven't decided on a name....
I like Frederick but I don't like 'Fred', which his nickname will inevitably be. I like Oliver but it seems to be very common.
What are your thoughts on Hamish?!? I'm really stuck .... Confused

What girl names do you like? Maybe you could give the male version of one of the girl names?
