Juliet?

The name has a link to our surname but it’s not a recent link. I just want to see if anyone thinks of it before completely writing off the name as a no.

Thanks Smile

It's a pretty name but I'll always see it as one half of a pair with Romeo.

MelonBuffet · 12/10/2018 09:23

Romeo and...
or
...Bravo (I’m old!)

Next I’d think of Juliet Stevenson from Truly Madly Deeply, so all reasonably positive connections but the very specific Romeo one would be most people’s first thought.

deptfordgirl · 12/10/2018 09:23

I love it. Classic and underused and I like the Shakespearean connection.

nocluenoidea · 12/10/2018 09:29

Classic, and I picture a sensible, quiet and perhaps musical girl with dark hair.

HalfBloodPrincess · 12/10/2018 09:36

Would you use it with the surname Lewis?

Maybe not with the surname Lewis but I don't know if many people will make the connections. Maybe as a middle name if you love it?

Dontbuymesocks · 12/10/2018 09:43

Lovely name!

rebelrosie12 · 12/10/2018 09:46

Absolutely beautiful. We know a little Juliet and I often think what a brilliant name it is.

NannyR · 12/10/2018 09:53

It's a lovely name, timeless. I had to Google juliet Lewis, actress??, I think I've heard of her but certainly didn't spring to mind immediately when I heard the name.

MarthasGinYard · 12/10/2018 09:55

I wouldn't not with your surname

deptfordgirl · 12/10/2018 09:58

I would. I didn't make the connection until someone said.

OutPinked · 12/10/2018 10:32

Juliette and the Licks was my second connection after Shakespeare then I saw your surname is Lewis. I wouldn’t do it.

CherryPavlova · 12/10/2018 10:40

Juliet is lovely. I can’t think of a connection with Lewis. If your name was Capulet, I might think twice.
Just googled and can’t say I recognise or have heard of that particular actress.

oskars · 12/10/2018 10:54

I always think 'and Romeo', but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing! It's a nice name.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 12/10/2018 12:07

Lovely name, goes well with Lewis.

Oysterbabe · 12/10/2018 12:15

Lewis was my second thought after Romeo. I think it's ok though.

steppemum · 12/10/2018 12:28

I can't think of a connection with Lewis. (and I am old)
I did think Bravo though!

I like it, but I did feel, because of the Romeo thing, that it somehow defines a girl in relation to a romantic relationship.

Pretty, but not one I would use.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 12/10/2018 12:30

Have no idea of a connection to Lewis.

Juliet is a great name.

DC18 · 12/10/2018 12:34

I don't know who Juliet Lewis is. My initial thought is Romeo and Juliet but not in a bad way. I think it's a pretty, almost romantic name x

NorthEndGal · 12/10/2018 12:37

Well, my first thought was, as long as you don't say your last name is Lewis Blush
Sorry
She is a great actress but she did have a hellacious personal life lived out in the tabloids

dalmatianmad · 12/10/2018 12:39

It's a beautiful name! I love it

JaneJeffer · 12/10/2018 13:09

The dice was loaded from the start

FannyFlapping · 12/10/2018 13:11

I love it but it does make me think of balconies.

Aebj · 12/10/2018 13:14

Juliet Bravo is the first thing that sprang to my mind!

Frazzlerock · 12/10/2018 13:14

My boss when I was a nanny many moons ago. If it helps, she was lovely!
