What do you think of the name Mailie for a girl?

Do you have any other suggestions I may like?

Thanks everyone 😊

Pronounced Miley I’m guessing?

Why the strange spelling?

dysonyoung · 02/10/2018 14:50

Pronounced May-lee. Smile

BertramKibbler · 02/10/2018 14:51

I don’t think it’s a name?

NameChange30 · 02/10/2018 14:51

Um. Is it from another language/culture? If so I will sound very ignorant saying this, but it sounds completely made up. And not in a good way Confused Sorry

Soubriquet · 02/10/2018 14:52

You will end up correcting people. A lot.

NotANotMan · 02/10/2018 14:52

Awful

WhenIWasAYoungWarthog · 02/10/2018 14:53

Is it an actual name? I’ve never met or heard of one. It looks like a made up spelling of a made up name.

ScienceIsTruth · 02/10/2018 14:54

Confused sorry, but that's the face I pulled.

However, it's your child, so do what makes you happy.

PortiaCastis · 02/10/2018 14:55

Sounds like a brand of mustard

missmouse101 · 02/10/2018 14:57

People will think you have said ‘Bailey’. It's not a good name, I’m sorry.

NarcolepticOuchMouse · 02/10/2018 14:58

Sounds like slang for a postman

Botanica · 02/10/2018 15:00

I thought of mustard too.

It's dreadful.

I just don't get why the need to make up ridiculous names...

Huntlybyelection · 02/10/2018 15:03

Is it a combination of Maisie and Ailie/Eilidh?

I've never heard of Mailie before.

Botanica · 02/10/2018 15:06

Almost

What do you think of Mailie?
itsbritneybiatches · 02/10/2018 15:06

Isnt it a French brand of mustard
That was
Purchased by Colman's?

cheesemongery · 02/10/2018 15:06

Sounds like a brand of mustard

Thank you! I knew I'd seen it or similar somewhere. It's Maille I think, but they do a lovely wholegrain.

Sorry OP, I'm not a fan of it for a name. Why not just stick to May?

cheesemongery · 02/10/2018 15:07

that's it, beat me to it and make me look thick @Botanica Grin

PawneeParksDept · 02/10/2018 15:07

Aged 12

Got any Mail today Mailee?

Is your dad a postman?

Where's your box, Mailee?

No.

Mrskeats · 02/10/2018 15:09

Why can’t people just use ACTUAL names?
There are plenty about fgs.

peachypetite · 02/10/2018 15:09
Confused
megcustard · 02/10/2018 15:11

Another one whose first thought was French mustard.

DemocracyDiesInDarkness · 02/10/2018 15:11

Hmmm not in love with it.

How about Maylin? (Emphasis on the lin)

I know a Maylin whose parents are from Malaysia.

Rainycloudyday · 02/10/2018 15:12

Awful, sorry. Honestly it sounds chavvy and made up (I know I shouldn't say that bit honest opinion!) Why not just pick an actual name...?

DaniC18 · 02/10/2018 15:12

I don't like it at all sorry. How about Miley, Maisie, Millie, Mylee or Mae instead?x

Rebellia · 02/10/2018 15:24

Sounds made up.

Do you like Maisie, Hayley, Eilidh (Scottish name pronounced Aylee to rhyme with Hayley)?
