Opinions on the name?
What gender would you associate it with?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I really really wouldn’t for the reasons pp have listed... and to the pp that mentioned Steiner schools my cousin was at one and knew a Beowulf, a Gravity and a Tomé (pronounced Tom-ay, apparently). I very much hope those were all nicknames...

Trialsmum · 24/09/2018 22:22

Love it, but the mythology ruins it 😢. It’s still not as bad as the little girl I know who’s parents named her Isis (after the godess but she’s only 6 and ISIS we’re definitely common knowledge by then).

Trialsmum · 24/09/2018 22:22

Were not we’re 😡.

NarcolepticOuchMouse · 24/09/2018 22:33

Great name for a dog 🐶

CallMeRachel · 24/09/2018 22:39

Umm...male.
Large, white, German Shepherd Grin

DameSquashalot · 24/09/2018 22:40

I know a dog called Loki. Always up to mischief.

mumsastudent · 24/09/2018 22:46

loki lord of misrule...thinks: asking for trouble literally!

WaitrosePigeon · 24/09/2018 22:50

Lochia? The blood you get post birth?

TheVeryHungryDieter · 24/09/2018 22:53

I know two cats and a teddy bear named Loki. The oldest cat is ten and predates the Marvel movies, but... still a cat's name.

ScrambledSmegs · 24/09/2018 22:55

Thanks to the Thor and Avengers films, a lot of people now think Loki is a bit of a dick. Fun name for a pet, not so great for a child.

Branleuse · 24/09/2018 22:56

I love it

VeryBerrySeptember · 24/09/2018 23:00

Baldur was better.

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 24/09/2018 23:02

Daughters hamster is called loki, mischievous little sod.

elQuintoConyo · 24/09/2018 23:04

I'd presume their parents were, um, lacking in braincells.I mean come the fuck on!

Itchytights · 24/09/2018 23:06

Utterly hideous

LottieIsMyName · 24/09/2018 23:08

Never heard of the name. Is if pronounced Lock-ee or Low-kee? Or am I really stupid? I think it looks nice written down anyway

toomanypillows · 24/09/2018 23:10

There is a Loki who lives near me. He's 12. He is not a model of good behaviour.
Neither is his brother: Lucifer.
This is not a joke

No, he's been sanitised by Marvel, evil prick in Norse mythology and not Thor's brother. It's a pets name.

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 25/09/2018 02:28

It’s totally shocking that you would even consider giving a child such a stupid name. Fgs take a bloody step back. It abuse!

Eeyoreismyspiritanimal · 25/09/2018 02:31

@Trialsmum I know of a young girl called Isis too. Her brother is called Wolf.

fieryginger · 25/09/2018 02:50

Arghhh if you want your son to hate you and be teased for life. Please don't.

Rebecca36 · 25/09/2018 03:16

Dreadful name.

KnotsInMay · 25/09/2018 05:01

The original Loki is sinister, creepy, disturbing and malevolent. The stuff of nightmares. Not mischievous. So no.

FishCanFly · 25/09/2018 11:04

please don't
