Choosing between these five names but very open to more suggestions. Which do you like best?

Valentine
Romane
Alicia

To go with very French surname beginning with R.

Naomi, it is lovely!

NoFucksImAQueen · 20/07/2018 16:36

I like Romane and Alicia

DownAtFraggleRock · 20/07/2018 16:37

What about Amelie? I went to school with one and have always loved it.

of yours I agree Naomi is lovely

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 20/07/2018 16:37

I love Valentine. I have a friend called Valentina which is so pretty.

How would you pronounce Alicia?

Skinandbones · 20/07/2018 16:38

Josephine

RickOShay · 20/07/2018 16:38

Valentine and Ines. Beautiful names.

Catinthecorner · 20/07/2018 16:39

Valentine. So pretty

crazydoglady6867 · 20/07/2018 16:39

I like Remi as a girls name.

seraphinerose · 20/07/2018 16:41

Alicia would be pronounced Ah-liss-ee-yah, Mumsie.

Thanks for all the feedback so far everyone!

Naomi Smile

HeyDolly · 20/07/2018 16:42

Naomi seems a very 80s style name to me.

I like Inès best from your list.

LostwithSawyer · 20/07/2018 16:44

Isn't remi a boys name in France?
I prefer ines

Okki · 20/07/2018 16:49

Romane is a lovely name - it sounds like a strong independent person name. For other suggestions, how about

Magali
Manon
Agnès
Léonie

MikeUniformMike · 20/07/2018 16:49

Do you live in France. Some of your names don't seem particularly french.
I like Ines.
I used to love Alicia until I realised that some people said Aleesha, some Al-iss-ya, some Al-EECE-y-a, and I was probably the only one who said it to rhyme with Trisha.
Romane looks like a misspelt lettuce
Valentine - a bit OTT. Don't like Val.
Naomi - again Nye-Oh-mi, Nay-OH-mi, NAY-o-mi... Prefer Noemie

sorry about the missing accents
Ines or Noemie

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 20/07/2018 16:53

My French exchange partner was called Maïté (My-e-tay') and I have always loved it.

I also like Carine and Celestine.

BlancheM · 20/07/2018 16:55

I really like Inès but Valentine is so pretty.

KiplingAngelCake · 20/07/2018 17:00

Inès - fab name!

Heratnumber7 · 20/07/2018 17:00

None of those sound particularly French to me.

Inès - Spanish
Naomi - Jewish
Valentine - a boy's name. Fem form is Valentina
Romane - haven't heard of this previously
Alicia - British/English name.

All quite nice though.

Cyw2018 · 20/07/2018 17:01

Ines, but the French girl's name I most like is Margot.

BlancheM · 20/07/2018 17:06

They're all used in France, Valentin would be the male equivalent.

timeisnotaline · 20/07/2018 17:07

valentine is a boys name?

strawberrry · 20/07/2018 17:10

Naomi or Valentine

MozzieMagnet · 20/07/2018 17:11

Aimee
Aurelie

sorry, cannot do accents

BlancheM · 20/07/2018 17:14

No, time I was responding to PP who said it was.

MinaPaws · 20/07/2018 17:16

I love Elodie, Sylvie and Agnès best of French girls names. (Though Agnes -Ag-nuss- is very ugly in English.)

From your list I like Alicia best.
