The French name I love the most is Cecile.

bibbidybobbidyboo · 20/07/2018 18:26

Morgane (with the emphasis on the -ane, sounds like "van")

Louane

Clémentine
Bénédicte

Juliette
Rosalie

Noéllié

LeeMiller · 20/07/2018 18:29

Is Anouk French? Love that.
French and Dutch I think. I once met a very elegant Anouk, and Anouk Aimée would be a great person to be named after.

Naomi is a gorgeous, underused name

DeckSofa · 20/07/2018 18:47

Naomi

Clémence (pronounced Claymensy)

I've always loved Noelle!

From your list, Valentine. It's lovely!

Dontknowwhatwillmakeitbetter · 20/07/2018 19:04

I love the name Elodie :)

FatBarry · 20/07/2018 19:08

Definitely not Romane, I also think of a lettuce.

Inès is wonderful, very French.

caringiscreepy · 20/07/2018 19:23

Valentine is gorgeous. What about Amandine?

SheldonandPenny · 20/07/2018 19:27

I like them all but if you are in the IK the diminutive are not my favourite ie Val/Ro/Nay/ I have heard all of these and it is very possible. I like Inez for this reason it can't be shortened easily and also Anais as any diminutives are pretty.

Snappedandfarted2018 · 20/07/2018 19:30

Amelie, Adele, Adeline

JiltedJohnsJulie · 20/07/2018 19:42

From your list I like Valentine the best, well now I know it’s an acceptable female name in France, I’ve always thought of it as a male name.

Queen how would you pronounce that name?

Bigua (your name has just made me laugh Grin) I love Cecile too.

We know a Manon who is French and rather beautiful. How about Emeline?

heateallthebuns · 20/07/2018 20:00

I don't like valentine ('s day) or romane (lettuce), others are all lovely,

FairySpringer · 20/07/2018 20:06

Naomi

florascotia2 · 20/07/2018 20:27

I like Naomi best of OP's suggestions, and also Amandine and Clemence (should be acute accent on first 'e') as suggested by previous posters. But the French people called Clemence that I've met pronounce it 'Cleh-mohnse' . As in the audio clips here: forvo.com/search/Clemence/fr/

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 20/07/2018 20:42

Inès is beautiful. I'm also rather fond of Anouk.

RedDwarves · 20/07/2018 22:23

Naomi isn't French. It's Hebrew.

Noémi is French - "no-ay-mee".

timeisnotaline · 20/07/2018 23:42

Garance? I like this very much but feel you should be french to use it so it’s never been on our lists.
Manon is very pretty too.

QueenoftheSilverDollar12 · 20/07/2018 23:59

@JiltedJohnsJulie It's pronounced Ann-eye-elle. Gorgeous name i always think 😃

Picknickers · 21/07/2018 02:29

Sorry but that name will quickly become anal in any secondary school in the UK

TatianaLarina · 21/07/2018 08:07

If you’re in France Inès are two a penny. So from the list Valentine or Romane.

My favourite French names are Manon and Capucine.

Timpani · 21/07/2018 08:10

Inès
