I can’t decide which name I like best. Her middle name will be Elizabeth and last name begins with a C.

NAomiNOTNiomi Perfect username! Grin

I pronounce NAYomi and I don’t like it when it’s pronounced NIGHomi. It’s such a beautiful name, but I only like it when it’s NAYomi.

Definitely Naomi.

RoseMartha · 30/06/2018 22:36

I like Amy better but Naomi is more unusual

Joeybee · 30/06/2018 22:41

They are both lovely names that aren't used enough anymore.
Amy flows better with Elizabeth than Naomi does, so I prefer Amy.

AnyaMoondial · 30/06/2018 22:49

Naomi. I just looks brilliant written down, probably more than any other name.

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 01/07/2018 04:10

Naomi is fab. I find Amy a bit dull.

Movablefeast · 01/07/2018 04:27

Naomi. Also agree Amy lacks character.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 01/07/2018 07:30

Both have been on my list but I wouldn’t use Naomi as a good friend pronounces it....

Nairmy!!

Which is horrific. The ny/nay thing is bad enough!

I adore Noemie, which sounds a lot like Amy, but that would probably provide even more pronounciation issues.

So, Amy for me! Only ever known lovely ones.

ComeTheFuck0nBridget · 01/07/2018 07:56

Another vote for Naomi! It's lovely and similar to a previous poster, every Amy/Aimee/Amie I've ever known have been really nasty people

sexnotgender · 01/07/2018 08:00

Both lovely OP.

I’d wait until you meet her.

Icklepup · 01/07/2018 08:01

Naomi

Xanadu46 · 01/07/2018 08:12

Amy, but then I'm biased because I've got one ! Easy to spell, easy to pronounce and a beautiful name

RedDwarves · 01/07/2018 10:51

Naomi. Love it.

I've never heard it pronounced nigh-oh-mee here in Australia. Always nay-oh-me.

Amy seems a bit dated to me. I know loads, all born in the 80s and early 90s.

Fifthtimelucky · 01/07/2018 11:01

I like Naomi, but the different pronunciations would drive me mad.

I also like Amy and, like a pp, I know an Amy Elizabeth.

I like Elizabeth best!

mintich · 01/07/2018 11:05

Naomi

MadisonAvenue · 01/07/2018 11:15

Amy. It's a classic name. Naomi always seems a bit dated to me.

CakeRattleandRoll · 01/07/2018 13:44

Naomi

HappyLollipop · 01/07/2018 13:47

Naomi is beautiful and it's got to be pronounced Nay-omi! Amy is ok but a bit boring and less memorable.

Sophronia · 01/07/2018 13:50

I’ve also never met a nice Amy/Aimee/Amie, and I’ve met lots Confused

EmmaJR1 · 01/07/2018 14:40

My dd is 16 days old and Is Naomi so obviously that one!

TatianaLarina · 01/07/2018 14:52

Don’t massively like either but prefer Naomi. Too many Amys, Aimee etc.

CrazyOldChicken · 01/07/2018 14:58

I know an Amy Elizabeth, she's not nice.

mathanxiety · 02/07/2018 07:41

Naomi - more unusual, and less nicknamey.

BasicBetty · 02/07/2018 11:30

Naomi - fab name.

MikeUniformMike · 02/07/2018 12:04

Amy is a classic, but Aimee is naff. Will get shortened to Ames. Was very popular around 1990-2000, so will seem dated.
Naomi - the different ways that people say it have put me off it. Nigh-Omi is horrible.
