I'm fine saying that we've settled on a name because me being my indecisive self, keep coming up with more names!

I like all these names, as does my fiance, so please help me choose!

Cora
Hailey
River
Ivy
Clara
Hallie
Amelia
Kylie (nothing to do with Kardashians/Jen)
Elora (El-OR-ah)

My favourites now are River and Amelia, though I know Amelia seems to be quite popular at the moment. Not really an issue though. I would love feedback on some or all if these names. Whatever is easiest maybe rank them? Or just tell me your favourite(s). Thank you :)

Clara!

BigglesBalloon · 14/05/2018 12:21

Ooooo Ciara is very nice. Really like it.

AlyTab · 14/05/2018 16:52

@ThreeAfter30 thank you! 😊❤. Layla is a beautiful name, as is Izzy. We actually loved the name Layla too but it was the same case, we put outselves off it! We gave the name to our doggie instead. Now thats what we yell all day lol. Thats a great idea though, compile a short list and see what she looks like :) , then probably change it one more time no doubt! The best of luck to you and your gorgeous baby ❤.

Alytab you are most welcome. Ciara for the win! May be ever so slightly biased.

AlyTab · 14/05/2018 17:10

@snicketywickety well many thanks. I'm always open to suggestions! Out of curiosity, how would you pronounce the name? I'm pretty sure it's Irish and it's a feminine form of Ciaran, but I would pronounce it 'Ci-ah-rah'. The Key-rah pronunciation is nice too though :)

Luna or heather?
Also like amber and anya.

Forgot poppy is my favourite

snicketywickety · 14/05/2018 18:32

AlyTab it is indeed Irish. Pronounced Kee-ra but more like Ciaran without the N. And lots of people do pronounce it As Kee-a-ra (sorry my phonetic spelling is shocking!!) which I believe is the Italian pronunciation, so you might be setting her up for a lifetime of having to spell it out and correct the pronunciation, whichever version you use, so perhaps not 😂
It means 'dark' and implies 'dark hair and dark eyes' if that's any help...

AlyTab · 14/05/2018 18:49

@snicketywickety ah ok, that helps a bit. Well We're both blonde and have blue eyes! Lol not that it matters. I do really like it pronounced as Ci-ah-rah, like "See", but also Key-ah-rah. Maybe there's a more phonetic spelling like Sierra? Maybe that's a totally diff name I don't know! They're all lovely.

@user1490465531 thank you for the suggestions! I do quite like Amber actually from your suggestions (not that the others aren't lovely). Never really considered it! I'll maybe add it to the list. Thank you :)

Thanks so much @AlyTab!
Good luck in your name hunt, ours is still ongoing and dp has now decided we should just wait til shes born to pick one seeing as we have no shortlist lol

AlyTab · 16/05/2018 01:23

@ThreeAfter30 and you! That's a great plan, I feel that may be an option if we haven't settled on a name by our third trimester. Never hurts to go through different names to find out what you both like though does it. Good luck! 😊

@AlyTab no it defo does not hurt at all, i like to be organised and i do have my own little list of names in my head anyway lol. Thank you and good luck to you too Smile

ILoveBulldogs · 16/05/2018 06:14

Morning, I know a ciara pronounces kee-ah-rah, but she is Italian. If you like the band maybe have a look into spellings of it as there are a fair few ☺️

Good luck, you’ll find the right one x

ILoveBulldogs · 16/05/2018 06:15

Name not band!

AlyTab · 16/05/2018 20:27

@ILoveBulldogs thank you :) really helps. As pretty as the name is, I don't want her going through life constantly correcting teachers 😂. I would probably pronounce it as 'See-ar-ah'. Really pretty :)
