I'm fine saying that we've settled on a name because me being my indecisive self, keep coming up with more names!

I like all these names, as does my fiance, so please help me choose!

Cora
Hailey
River
Ivy
Clara
Hallie
Amelia
Kylie (nothing to do with Kardashians/Jen)
Elora (El-OR-ah)

My favourites now are River and Amelia, though I know Amelia seems to be quite popular at the moment. Not really an issue though. I would love feedback on some or all if these names. Whatever is easiest maybe rank them? Or just tell me your favourite(s). Thank you :)

Love Hallie from your list :-)

Sophronia · 12/05/2018 19:08

Cora, Amelia, Ivy and Clara are nice

SnowGoArea · 12/05/2018 19:11

Ivy
Cora
Hallie
Clara

Not such a fan of the others but those (in that order) I love.

mummytobe07 · 12/05/2018 19:44

I like Hallie best but also really like Clara!

LoveInTokyo · 12/05/2018 19:45

Cora - OK, don’t love it
Hailey - like this one
River - don’t like it
Ivy - OK but a bit old ladyish
Clara - love it
Hallie - really like it
Amelia - really like it but it’s very popular
Kylie (nothing to do with Kardashians/Jen) - 80s/trashy
Elora (El-OR-ah) - like it

manicinsomniac · 12/05/2018 20:04

Cora - Not keen. Don't really like the 'caw' sound.
Hailey - Really like it
River - Really like it but possibly more for a boy.
Ivy - Love it
Clara - Quite like it.
Hallie - Like it.
Amelia - Not keen at all. Don't like the 'mealy' sound
Kylie - One of very few names I properly, actively dislike. But I'm not sure why.
Elora - Never met one but I really like it.

I think I'd pick Ivy

deptfordgirl · 12/05/2018 20:20

I really like Clara, Ivy and Elora.

gwen25 · 12/05/2018 20:48

Love Ivy and Clara

pilates · 12/05/2018 21:59

Clara and Amelia
Not keen on the rest

Longdistance · 12/05/2018 22:09

Clara

Buntysoven · 12/05/2018 22:16

Hailey. It sounds really happy to me.

Ceebs85 · 12/05/2018 22:17

Cora, Clara and Elora are the best 3

Cora is on our list Smile

Amelia is my least favourite

QueenOlives · 12/05/2018 22:19

Clara and River get my votes.

Ivy also good. I'd steer away from Amelia IMO.

I'd like to add Esther to your list. I love it and never got to use it Smile

IMBU · 12/05/2018 22:21

What about Aurelia? Similar to Amelia but a bit more unusual?

AlyTab · 12/05/2018 22:25

@NapQueen Haley was actually the way we originally wanted to spell it, but people kept mispronounving it so we added an 'I'.

@QueenOlives you know it's actually not that bad but it sounds so old ladyish to me. I can't imagine a baby Esther! Obviously that's how most people get their names, but I just can't see it.

I'm back to Clara and River atm :)

QueenOlives · 12/05/2018 22:28

I know what you mean OP. I think I must have met a young Esther at that time and she was v cute !

Aurelia mention by pp is also great and was on my list. Love the options on shortening like maybe Lia .

QueenOlives · 12/05/2018 22:29

Another random suggestion that might fit the type of names you are looking at -Lauren. Is so pretty.

Will stop making suggestions! Grin

AlyTab · 12/05/2018 22:47

@QueenOlives I'm always open to suggestions! I'm so scatter brained and indecisive that I keep forgetting names that I like, therefore suggestions either remind me or they add to my list :)

Lauren is a pretty name, but I personally know at least 4! Very common name here. Erin takes the cake though, I've met 8 or 9 (seriously!)

ThatHippyDippyShit · 12/05/2018 22:55

I like Cora.

What about Coral?

QueenOlives · 12/05/2018 22:56

Oh wow I though Lauren was quite original and id have said the same about Erin
Good luck with your choice - it's so tricky

VilootShesCute · 12/05/2018 23:01

Love River

AlyTab · 12/05/2018 23:11

Coral isn't for me, even though it's basically Cora with an 'I' at the end :) - Coraline is quite nice though.

Iris is actually nice though, might take out Kylie and swap in Iris.

OP posts:
ABitOTT · 13/05/2018 00:00

I know an Iris. Lovely, sweet natured girl who suits her name. Her sister is Maya (pronounced My-a).

Out of your current list, Clara is my favourite; but think River would work too. It's a unisex name imho.

peytonlia · 13/05/2018 01:41

My favourites are Hailey, Ivy and Amelia. All lovely names! Smile I like Hallie also, but it seems perhaps as though it should be a nickname for a longer name to me.
Kylie sounds trashy, wouldn't use it. River is gorgeous on a boy, when I see the name my mind goes straight to River Phoenix. Not keen on it for a girl though (and I like boys names on girls usually).

Not a fan of Elora (or Iris), too granny-ish. Hate Cora and Clara, just don't sound nice to my ears. How about Cara? Such a beautiful name.
