It's a no. Is it pronounced Jee-ah, Ja, or Ghia?
I suppose it could be short for something Giovanna, Georgiana/Georgina ...

Bigpizzalover · 11/05/2018 20:13

I like it, although it reminds me of RHONJ, one of the casts kids in named Gia

WildCherryBlossom · 11/05/2018 20:14

I quite like it, but I think I prefer Gaia

bellanotte22 · 11/05/2018 20:14

It sounds like jeer. Not the best connotations imo

littlebillie · 11/05/2018 20:15

Clawdy · 11/05/2018 20:17

Now I know it's pronounced with a soft g, I think it is rather lovely.

SomeKnobend · 11/05/2018 20:17

Looks like Gear or Jeer. What about Zia?

Pigeonpost · 11/05/2018 20:20

Everyone will call her ghee-a not jee-a.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 11/05/2018 20:24

It sounds ok, but looks ugly written down IMO x

DramaAlpaca · 11/05/2018 21:31

I don't mind it.

Pippylou · 11/05/2018 21:32

I know a Gia, pronounced Geea with a hard G, he's a bloke.

WaitrosePigeon · 11/05/2018 21:32

Pronounced Gee-a?

ichbineinstasumer · 11/05/2018 21:32

I think it could be nice but most UK based people will pronounce it in (a range of) rather ugly versions

Theimpossiblegirl · 11/05/2018 21:36

It's a lovely name but personally I prefer Gaia.
Luna is sort of similar and I love that too.
