Does anyone remember how long they took to announce Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s name?

3 days with George and Charlotte

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 24/04/2018 06:51

I thought 2 days after the birth

Battleax · 24/04/2018 06:56

You don’t have to wait. You can just get on with your life normally.

Buxbaum · 24/04/2018 07:13

I think a few people who’ve had boys in the last 24 hrs (and who will in the next) might be inclined to wait for the Cambridges’ announcement before deciding on their own child’s name. I certainly would, simply to avoid their choice.

Fridasfridgefreezer · 24/04/2018 07:16

I know someone who gave birth yesterday who is waiting so they don’t pick the same name. Think they had Arthur on their list.

flumpybear · 24/04/2018 07:18

It'll be James

Carry on with your life now

HadronCollider · 24/04/2018 07:20

My money's on Alfred.

BettyPitts · 24/04/2018 07:27

John Arthur Philip.

There, wait no longer.

whatshappening1 · 24/04/2018 07:43

Flumpybear I highly doubt it's James because Kate's brother is also called James and they avoid names in the immediate family which is a shame cause I wanted him to be called James Arthur Cambridge

Highpeak · 24/04/2018 11:51

And her BIL, that's way too many James's!

Highpeak · 24/04/2018 11:57

Damn autocorrect misplaced apostrophe.

Lazinganddazing · 24/04/2018 12:00

My moneys on Alexander or arther.
But yes around 2/3 days.

I'm guessing the posters who are telling OP to get on with life don't do anything while the kettle boils. [:D]

stellinaa · 24/04/2018 12:04

Its unlikely to be James (the name of Kate's brother) or John, it is considered to be unlucky amongst the royals. Also can't imagine they would go for Philip, as Kate's sister's name is Philippa.

My bets are on Edward, Nicholas, Arthur or Andrew. With Philip/Henry/James/Michael as middle names.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 24/04/2018 12:04

Arthur Henry Philip

halfwitpicker · 24/04/2018 12:05

Edward I think.

halfwitpicker · 24/04/2018 12:05

Eddy for short. I reckon he'll be like uncle Harry. Bit of a renegade.

GladAllOver · 24/04/2018 12:05

It's quite urgent for people who have bets on the name.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 24/04/2018 12:13

Or Micheal Philip James
Francis John Philip
Vincent Charles Philip.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 24/04/2018 12:23

I thought Arthur or Albert and even Jasper.

But I'm going for Frederick David James.

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 24/04/2018 12:26

I think Philip for a first name then Henry.

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 24/04/2018 12:27

I think Prince Albert is unlikely, given the genital piercing association!

GottaGetThisDone · 24/04/2018 22:33

I don't think it will be Edward, James, Andrew, Phillip or Micheal as they are all relatives - i think they will give him his 'own' name (as in not already on the family)

Doubt it will be Albert either as pp said the connotations are a no go lol, nor is it likely to be Alexander as George has that in his names. Nor is it likely to be Henry/Harry.

They may give hm Micheal Phillip or Charles as one of his middle names.

I kinda hope they have Frederick know as Freddie

Dahlietta · 25/04/2018 11:49

You don’t have to wait. You can just get on with your life normally.

starryeyed19 · 25/04/2018 11:51

There's already a Frederick in the family too. Arthur Charles Henry George are going to be in there somewhere
