Does anyone remember how long they took to announce Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s name?

Anyone else think they are dragging this out just to keep maximum media spotlight?
It must be awful when Ickle brother and glam new fiancé suddenly start hogging the limelight with their glam new wedding......

Are you mad?

Praisebe · 27/04/2018 06:53

Its Albert. They've made him a page on the royal website already.
They won't announce it till Charles gets to meet him when he gets back from France so that's why its taking longer than the others

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 27/04/2018 06:58

I never knew about the piercing association with Prince Albert. Now I do I'd be really surprised if they used that name.

www.royal.uk/Prince-George
www.royal.uk/Princess-Charlotte
www.royal.uk/Prince-Albert
www.royal.uk/Prince-Arthur
Ok so click on each link and you'll see "Access denied" But if you click on Prince arthur it says page does not exist which proves its Albert.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 27/04/2018 07:18

That's weird Praisebe. Surely not. Or maybe they haven't heard about the cock thing? GrinConfused

Praisebe · 27/04/2018 07:21

Wonder if its too late to place a bet on Albert Wink

SoupDragon · 27/04/2018 07:23

which proves its Albert.

It really “proves” nothing. It’s just supposition.

NumberFrame · 27/04/2018 07:28

Omg please not Prince Albert surely they wouldn’t?!
They won’t announce until Charles and queen have met baby and Charles is due to travel back from Scotland today because he couldn’t possibly have cut his holiday short to meet his new grandson 🤔
Queen due to visit tomo so my guess is name will be announced Monday

Battleax · 27/04/2018 07:29

I thought that yesterday. But then someone pointed out what happens if you add “-0” tI the end of each URL.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 27/04/2018 07:31

Why wouldn't they have Albert. After all a Royal baby is hardly likely to be teased is he.

Flomper · 27/04/2018 07:34

blimey that web oage stuff suggests they will go with Albert - brave! Maybe Albert know as Arthur like Harry?

Flomper · 27/04/2018 07:36

ah, just seen the 0 thing, maybe not

AtiaoftheJulii · 27/04/2018 07:38

If you try those webpages with Prince William or Prince Edward, you also get page not found, so maybe they're not their real names!!!!!!

Ktay · 27/04/2018 07:45

If Prince Charles is currently on holiday in Scotland it can't have been a very long one, he was at the Anzac commemorations in France on Weds...

Praisebe · 27/04/2018 07:46

Bet George's real name is Jayden Grin

Praisebe · 27/04/2018 07:47

I thought Charles was still in France i can't imagine him popping home via Scotland for a quick rest surely he's excited to meet his new grandson ?

Cosmoa · 27/04/2018 08:29

According to my Google search they are announcing today! not that I care

Changebagsandgladrags · 27/04/2018 08:34

Can't they do a Rees-Mogg and name him threetus?

Ktay · 27/04/2018 09:46

Ah - apparently the trip to France was indeed a flying visit in the middle of a Scottish holiday, apologies.

SoupDragon · 27/04/2018 11:08

Louis Arthur Charles.

So the Albert web page was a load of bollocks. Unsurprisingly.

Cosmoa · 27/04/2018 11:10

Louis Arthur Charles... Interesting choice as it's already the middle name of George!

cherrytrees123 · 27/04/2018 11:14

Louis Arthur Charles

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 27/04/2018 11:14

Nice name aside from the Arthur and Charles. I'm made up they didn't go with Arthur

cherrytrees123 · 27/04/2018 11:14

Charles too close to Charlotte and why use a first name which is already a second name for George? Why no Middleton family names either??

Battleax · 27/04/2018 11:15

fairy Grin

We’re all happy one way or the other, anyway.
