I’d assume they were one half of a sibling set with RayBan

StereophonicallyChallenged · 06/04/2018 15:46

I know an Oakley and he's a lovely kid; therefore I like it Grin

Aph413 · 06/04/2018 15:46

Related to an Oakley. Unusual but cute

TokyoSushi · 06/04/2018 15:49

It's the tree in 'everything's Rosie' but otherwise I quite like it!

ClaudiaWankleman · 06/04/2018 15:49

It’s a surname to me.

toffee1000 · 06/04/2018 15:49

Sounds too much like a surname to me. It’s not the worst name I’ve heard though.

JellySlice · 06/04/2018 15:56

I know an Oakley. It was a weird name when I first heard it, but I've watched him grow up from a chubby dumpling into a confident, strong, beautiful teenager with a respectful manner and a wicked sense of humour. His name evokes strength and stability, and he has totally grown into it.

Thumbs up from me.

Lastoftheusernames · 06/04/2018 15:58

Sunglasses for me 😎

GreySloanMemorial · 06/04/2018 15:59

Reminds me of Tyler Oakley but that’s not a bad thing!! I quite like it

ConfusedLivingDoll · 06/04/2018 16:00

Oakley is not what it used to be. Ray ban now all the way. Sorry! Wink

Daffodillia · 06/04/2018 16:00

My cousin’s called Oakley. He’s Canadian.

SoupDragon · 06/04/2018 16:04

Always makes me think of Ned Flanders saying “okily dokily” in the Simpsons.

I strongly dislike it as a name for a person.

HappyLollipop · 06/04/2018 16:04

My friends dog is called Oakley. But I think it could work well for a child too it's just very American sounding.

Thistlebelle · 06/04/2018 16:06

Sorry, it’s equivalent calling your child Rayban to me too.

IHaveBrilloHair · 06/04/2018 16:08

No, it's terrible.

Pidlan · 06/04/2018 16:09

Brass band from Blaenau Ffestiniog.

ButternutCrinkleFries · 06/04/2018 16:10

I know a little boy called Oakley. I think it’s quite sweet. I do always think of that bloody tree from Everything’s Rosie though.

BeyondThePage · 06/04/2018 16:12

Good name for a kitchen company... sorry Blush I know it is a sunglasses firm, but for some reason kitchens came to mind with the name.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 06/04/2018 16:12

Isn't Oakley one of those fake farms names that supermarkets put on the labels? You know, so it sounds rustic and cosy and gives an opposite impression to the mass production —organised cruelty— factories.

UnaMagdalena · 06/04/2018 16:14

Had to laugh at the sun glasses emoji!!

That'd be my first thought.

Prefer Ray short for Rayban.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 06/04/2018 16:15

I know an Oak, which divided the family somewhat at the time. I think it's a lovely name.

frasier · 06/04/2018 16:17

Good name but does remind me of the sportswear company.

BossWitch · 06/04/2018 16:21

Teach one. He's a right twunt. Puts me right off! Otherwise I quite liked it.

MammieBear · 06/04/2018 16:26

I agree I do think sunglasses when I hear it.

chezmk1988 · 06/04/2018 16:35
