Thoughts on the name Oakley for a boy?

I hate it

It sounds to me like a furniture shop for oak.

Awful. I teach an Oakleigh and he's a great kid, but the name is not.

My nephew is one, it suits him.

Sunglasses.

It’s a good name for a dog.

I like it for a baby/child but not so keen for when they grow into a man.

My first thought is " Does that one have the double garage, or an en-suite"?

Surname.

I'm not keen and I don't really like it, but I've heard far worse!

Also sounds terrible in most northern accents, or estuary/cockney. I'm the proud owner of one of these accents btw.

Oakley to anyone involved with horses, is a well known, very well made and very very expensive brand of horsebox lorry. Comes with all the fancy trim and gizmos. Like Rolls Royce only for horses. Cheaper to buy a house.
