Don’t like ANY boys names!

I have searched for what feels like forever. I have not found even one name that I can imagine for my son and it’s really starting to get me down. The only name I remotely like is Arthur but it doesn’t feel like the one and I’m pretty sure the Royals are going to use it. I like traditional names that aren’t too popular (another issue with Arthur) any ideas ladies :(

Could you use a family name, instead? At least it would be personal to you even if it's not perfect feel in other ways.

Can you say what girl names you like, for comparison?

Any other names that seem like they should qualify but you don't like?

lilytup · 23/02/2018 12:22

Albert and Archie have a similar feel to me

pipilangstrumpf · 23/02/2018 12:25

Traditional but outside the top 100:

Michael
Quentin
Peter
Nicholas
Dominic

Lulue45 · 23/02/2018 12:29

The only men’s names we really have to use are Simon and John and neither of those feel right.

Girls names I like are Nora, Eliza, Mabel, Evelyn, Nell, Iris, Betsy, Florence, Annie, Rosa...the list goes on! I like so many girls names!

I do like Albert and Archie but feel they are quite popular where I live x

I love Mabel and Rosa for a girl.

Lulue45 · 23/02/2018 12:34

Umm yes, it’s a name I like? I’m looking for a boys name so my girls list is irrelevant I was just letting PP know my naming style. But thanks for your (unnecessary) input.

Frank?

BabloHoney · 23/02/2018 12:36

If you like Eliza for a girl.. Ezra for a boy?
I like Scottish boys names best as they tend to be a bit less common without being too “out there”

Lulue45 · 23/02/2018 12:36

TeeBee I have thought about Frank...I quite like Franklin but it’s a acquaintance surname so think it would be a bit weird.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 23/02/2018 12:36

James. Everyone likes James.

Lulue45 · 23/02/2018 12:36

Yes I do quite like Ezra actually! Do you think it’s too ‘trendy?’

OP posts:
TeeBee · 23/02/2018 12:37

I think a tiny Frank would be very cute.

RLOU88 · 23/02/2018 12:38

Awwlookatmybabyspider Was only agreeing that she liked a couple of your names.. Confused

MagicFajita · 23/02/2018 12:39

David
Joseph
Edward
Leo

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 23/02/2018 12:39

Op was referring to pupchewsleg’s comment.

Trooperslane2 · 23/02/2018 12:39

I met a lovely Ezra on holiday.

and Frank is great.

I love Nora too

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 23/02/2018 12:40

James is perfect, classic, suits through every stage of life. You can't fault it. However as op doesn't want a name that's too popular. James is probably the last name she should choose.

RLOU88 · 23/02/2018 12:40

My bad I didn’t see the post from @ pupchewsleg. I’m in the same boat at you and need a boys name - don’t like any 😩 so I’ll be keeping a watch on this thread for inspiration if that’s ok

ifigoup · 23/02/2018 12:41

If you like Ezra then how about

Boaz
Jesse
Angus
Fletcher
William
Davies
Iestyn

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 23/02/2018 12:44

Strange though it probably depends on area. I have a teenage one and we know very few with the same name. I could count on one hand.

TeeBee · 23/02/2018 12:46

I love Gabe or Gabriel.
Alvie is a very old name but cute and unusual.
Caleb
Tobias
Artie

userabcname · 23/02/2018 12:48

Looking at your girls names and thinking of equivalent ones for boys...Emmett, Idris, Milo/Miles, Roman, Norman, Andrew...unless it's more meanings you like OP? I would agree Archie is popular but I haven't met any little Alberts. I do like Ezra too and only know one.
