Which do you prefer?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Frazzled2207 · 02/03/2018 08:09

I like Nola.

Nova sounds very dates to me, and reminds me of the car and as pp said Prestatyn Nova!

IAmMatty · 02/03/2018 08:17

Don't love either but Nova is better.

NoLa is what New Orleans gets called.

greendale17 · 02/03/2018 08:17

To be honest both names sound very functional and plain, both are horrible

^This

SuburbanRhonda · 02/03/2018 08:19

Both sound like brand names, so it’s a no to both from me, I’m afraid.

bonbonours · 02/03/2018 09:06

I know a boy toddler called Nova. I like it, it's kind of spacey. Nola is OK, a bit like Lola which is popular.

yantan · 03/03/2018 09:05

I prefer Nola by a long way. It's lovely.

PinkCrystal · 10/03/2018 16:58

I like both. Isn't one of the babies from teen mom called Nova?

WashingMatilda · 10/03/2018 18:01

I think your instincts are correct OP and both immediately struck me as very chavvy.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 10/03/2018 18:01

Nova.

heateallthebuns · 10/03/2018 23:38

I don't really like either. There is a radio station called radio nova so it makes me think of that. Finola is nice though.

Mammysin · 10/03/2018 23:41

My darling girl is called aversion of Nova xx

Rylanmakesmyheartsmile · 11/03/2018 07:58

I'm not sure why people are suggesting Finola?! It's a bastardised anglicised spelling of Fionnuala which is pronounced Fin-oo-la (kind of!) - NOT Fin-o-la. The names are nothing alike

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 11/03/2018 08:07

Nova definitely

Littlemum2be86 · 15/03/2018 08:41

Nola is lovely! Nova reminds me of the car. I also like Nora

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 15/03/2018 08:56

Neither. Not very feminine imo.
Vita?

MammieBear · 15/03/2018 09:35

Nova, I came across Novalie the other day...

HuskyMcClusky · 15/03/2018 10:33

Nola.

I know a very classy and smart Nola. Nova is just a trendy brand-namey name, to me.

blackteasplease · 15/03/2018 10:38

I know a lovely woman called Nola so it sounds good to me.

I should point out it's a town near Naples where my family comes from and is known locally for a heavy organised crime presence!

blackteasplease · 15/03/2018 10:38

Nola is a town that is.

paperdreams16 · 17/03/2018 00:13

I know a Nola and a Nova and they are two of the smiliest, quirkiest, genuine people I know, so I love both names!

I think I prefer Nova though Smile

BradleyPooper · 17/03/2018 03:00

Nola is what Americans call New Orleans.....

BradleyPooper · 17/03/2018 03:00

As in New Orleans LA (Louisiana)....

TatianaLarina · 17/03/2018 12:15

Vauxhall Nova - no way.

Nola is a bit meh.
