Nova or Nola?

Which do you prefer?

Nola is pretty

I really like Nova, but not Nola.

I wanted to use Nola but DP didn't agree... I think it does derive from Nuala (or Enola, if you want to go in that direction)

Nova! Love this name... Not chavvy atall.

I know a Nova, lovely name. It means new in Portuguese though, plenty of Nova this and Nova that, for a heads up if you ever go there on holiday

I like Nola. I also like Phyllis and Norma though so what do I know. I know a teenaged Phyllis and more than one teenaged Norma though so don’t think of old ladies when I hear those names.

I like Nola best but Nova is OK too. I like Nora better than either and wish I had named one of my dds Nora.

Nova reminds me of the car so Nola!

Nova does remind me of champagne supernova. Which is maybe not something I’d want people to link to my newborn

I love NOLA as a city, but def not as a name. Nova is just a definite no.

Norah on the other hand is lovely, as is Noa

My son had a Nola, Nova and Zola in his class, I love all three names.

Posted too soon, but we are in California in a beach city, not sure they would work as well elsewhere.

Nova is a car. Dreadful name for a child. It sounds like a bad pop singer act. Not heard of Nola. It could be OK.

Nova is a not-so-good car to me, so I would avoid it.
