I feel I must be showing my age because I don't understand the popularity of Fern/e. I don't hate it, I am just amazed at it's immense popularity. Why do you think it has caught the zeitgeist at the present time?

Jonah (too clunky, disobedient Man in the Old Testament)
Grace (boring)
Emily (boring)
Lucy (boring)
Cohen
Ezekiel (old)

A lot of safe and bland names really.

But I'm interested to know why the phonetics of Amelia, Olivia, Emily, Sophia etc are all so similar that so many people dislike them.

Mia and Noah-they just sound like noises to me.

Mia was lovely when it was just what Maria Farrow is known by, now it is merely overused.
