Girl - Bernadine - friends grans name, love it we call her Berdie.
Boy - Mac - cousins son.

Not using those because we have DS, and already have a name chosen for any future DD.

Either DH hates them, or they go badly with our surname, or they just sound weird on an English kid. If we have DS2 we are in trouble

I had s girl and boy, and got to use the slightly less common names I wanted on both with full agreement from my husband. Woo hoo! Quite amused though that they have both popped up 3 times in this thread 😁
Mostly positive comments with the odd raised eyebrow 😂

Having said thst if dc2 was s girl, I would like to have honoured my granny, so missed out on Miriam as a middle name
