MaroonPencil · 05/12/2017 16:33

Bertie - although I love it I wouldn't use it as a birth certificate name and am not keen on Albert or Bertrand although might go for Bertram at a push
Linnet- mangled by Essex accent

Anastasia and Katerina are my all time favourites.

silkpyjamasallday · 05/12/2017 17:45

Jemima or Clemence and Rupert or Hugo. Won't be having anymore DC so no opportunity to use the names.

2tired2bewitty · 05/12/2017 17:50

Mordecai. Love the way it sounds, bit much to land on a small child.

Metalhead · 05/12/2017 21:45

Lina. (Would’ve been my choice for DD2 but couldn’t convince DH.)

Ragusa · 05/12/2017 21:48

I really wanted an Anouk. Eggs gone off now, no chance 😂

Happinezz · 06/12/2017 10:25

@Mrsknackered - Meg is also short for Margaret?

Doubletrouble42 · 06/12/2017 10:29

Bridie Mabel Marnie

Doubletrouble42 · 06/12/2017 10:29

All overruled by more conventional dp

jennawade · 06/12/2017 11:17

Nina - couldn't use for dd as it was v close to how our police car obsessed ds was describing his favourite toy at eh time and would have been too confusing!

Lila - loved this from age 11 but was beaten to it by kate Moss

Jake - the 'k' runs into our surname so it would sound like Jay.....

SummerRoberts · 06/12/2017 11:25

I love Wilfred but DP hates it :(

Just out of interest- why can't you use your friends grans name? I'd use it if that's the only reason- unless you're very close to her?

kaytee87 · 06/12/2017 11:36

Matthew - husband vetoed it

Minty82 · 06/12/2017 11:39

Susannah
Marianne
Vita
Faith
Tabitha

Zachary
Jacob
Gabriel
Linus

No more babies in this house, so these are all up for grabs!

Johnnycomelately1 · 06/12/2017 11:46

Jean-Baptiste.

Veto'ed by Dh as we are not French or religious.

Non-pregnant me now admits he had a point

I used my best friend's dad's name for DS (asked her first in case she planned to use it). She was delighted, as was he.

timeisnotaline · 06/12/2017 11:46

Jasper because I have a cousin. Aubrey because I would really like to call a girl Audrey. And Clancy i think I can't use as then I would have three children's names ending in eee sound which feels a bit much (and is also assuming I get my Audrey)

MrsFoxPlus4 · 06/12/2017 12:49

Summer shes my best friend and has always said if she has a girl she’ll name her Bernadine.

Dominic - but surname begins with D so not possible.

Debby08 · 06/12/2017 15:42

Margot and Madison :) lovely names but I don't think I can use them as they don't sound good with my last name.

LaBelleSausage · 06/12/2017 16:19

Peregrine

DH though I was insane to suggest it

WishICouldThinkOfSomethinWitty · 06/12/2017 16:59

Laurel- We first heard it on How To Get Away With Murder and loved it. Then I thought of Laurel and Hardy and it's just not the same. Such a shame because I love it!
Heidi- Loved it until a local dog with the same name went missing. Now it's all I can think about when I hear/ read it.
Olivia NN Livvy- There was a very skanky girl at Uni called Liv, so DH won't consider it
Hannah- Same as above.
Luna- I don't think we're cool enough to pull it off

Quinn- I love it but OH hates it.
Oscar- OH thinks it's too pretentious.
Kieran- I love it but just don't think it's "us"
Aaron- Again, I love it but all the Aarons I've met have been arseholes- considering Arren though.
Elliot- Same name as a boy I went to school with who used to get his willy out in class...

WishICouldThinkOfSomethinWitty · 06/12/2017 17:06

I also love Maddison for a girl and Jenson for a boy but our surname begins with S and ends with Son so it would be way too Ess'y and I also have a slight lisp so not the best.

MrsBonato · 06/12/2017 17:12

Victor, Hector, Wilfred, Seth and the girls name Meredith. Have the one DS and very lucky to have him, so no more. Plus the DH would never agree to any of those names 😣
