What do people think of Coco for a girls name? Surname would be McKay.

Thanks!:)

McKay doesn't go with Coco. But coco is a gorgeous name.

Mrsknackered · 05/11/2017 20:12

I really like it. I think it works well through all ages.
Not sure if Coco McKay is a bit hard though?
Would you like some other suggestions?

Fridgedooropen · 05/11/2017 20:14

I also thought that about the sounds Mrsk. Though Courtney Cox's daughter is Coco (Arquette) which would be similar.

Ifyouseeapolarbear · 05/11/2017 20:15

There's a cool Hawaiian female surfer called Coco I like it. It sounds like it could be a nickname a little bit though.

Viviennemary · 05/11/2017 20:16

I think it's totally dire. Please don't. Kids at school will call her coconutty.

SuperBeagle · 05/11/2017 20:16

I like it, but I don't think the majority of people can pull it off. I also think that it's the sort of name which could limit a person, depending on what they wanted to do with their life.

I second others that Coco McKay doesn't quite work.

Justbookedasummmerholiday · 05/11/2017 20:17

Pop for a middle name?

Nazdarovye · 05/11/2017 20:18

No, it's a dog name. Or for people with a cocaine habit.

I think Coco McKay sounds great!

Ivygarden · 05/11/2017 20:20

I know a very ‘posh’ lady with a daughter called Coco and it really suits her. Maybe it’s after Chanel...

RavenWings · 05/11/2017 20:22

No, I don't think it works. Coco itself isn't a great name, but paired with a very common (ordinary!) surname like McKay it sounds a bit odd. It's like naming a child Cassiopeia Araminta Murphy.

I think as a name in general like Coco is hard to pull off.

Snoopy90 · 05/11/2017 20:22

Thanks everyone! Interesting to hear people's honest opinions. I think will go with a soft middle name if we go with it.

If I was Say what I thought, since you are asking, it Makes me think of W hen people have posh puppies/dogs who have a show name that’s what it sounds like. Could never be taken seriously.
However your baby your choice we all have different opinions and tastes.

MisfitNotMissFit · 05/11/2017 20:25

How about Cora, with CoCo as a non?

jocobella · 05/11/2017 20:30

My daughter is called Coco and we only get positive comments - no one has ever said it’s a dogs name so I’d ignore those responses if you like it. She’s quite old now and although she got the odd Cocobelle, Coca Cola when she was little, she is just Coco now

ChocolateCrunch · 05/11/2017 20:36

I like it, and with your surname!

pret · 05/11/2017 20:39

DD has a friend called Cocoa. I like it.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 05/11/2017 20:47

Nicole McKay (Coco).

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 05/11/2017 20:52

pret Cocoa??

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 05/11/2017 20:52

I like Coco btw although it sounds a be cowgirly with your surname. Who’s to say if that’s a bad thing though! Grin

BuzzKillington · 05/11/2017 20:54

It's too silly.

C0untDucku1a · 05/11/2017 20:56

Courtney cox’s daughter is called coco. I like te name. But not with your surname.

PinkFlamingo888 · 05/11/2017 20:57

I really like Coco and would use it myself but would prefer to use it as a nickname but have never been sure what it could be short for! I think if there was a lengthier alternative it may flow better with your surname too.

DollyMcDolly · 05/11/2017 20:58

I wouldn't use it but only because i know two dogs called Coco
