I'm just curious and thought it would be an interesting topic as I know parents don't agree on everything. What would you have named you child/children if your DP didn't have a say in it? Smile

Matilda and Silas.

Mrsknackered · 13/10/2017 17:58

Ricardo and Angelo, if he had got his way. I do actually like Angelo, detest Ricardo.

Curlyshabtree · 13/10/2017 18:00

Keziah and Issac

theredjellybean · 13/10/2017 18:02

Tabitha and portia

Carouselfish · 13/10/2017 18:08

I mostly got my own way but he vetoed Flora. She may well have been that.

Schmoochypoos · 13/10/2017 18:12

They were both DSs and DH kind of vetoed anything I said so I went with the best of what he liked.

I would have had Alexander and Daniel.

If we'd have had girls I wanted Clementine and Martha. DH didn't like either of those!

We were agreed on DS's name from the start. But I also like Raoul, Marcus, Robert and Nathaniel, all of which DH either isn't keen on or are already used in the family.

Girls names were easy too as we were agreed if we had had a girl but I now like Robyn as well, which he would veto.

coughingbean · 13/10/2017 19:36

Persephone and clara

CustardOmlet · 13/10/2017 21:56

Toby and Ethan or Crispian. If DH had his own way our 4yr old would have been Bear.

KarineAimee · 13/10/2017 21:57

Serena

RefuseTheLies · 13/10/2017 22:02

Sylvie and it would have suited her far better than the only name we could jointly agreed on

strawberrypenguin · 13/10/2017 22:06

DS1 Toby
DS2 Max or Dexter

DH vetoed all of these. We found names we both loved though.

GodIsDead · 13/10/2017 22:11

Cullen....but DH said it’s too weird and sounds like culling.

headintheproverbial · 13/10/2017 22:12

Sebastian and Camilla

HashiAsLarry · 13/10/2017 22:12

I remembered DH had suggestions I'd said no too.
His were Lara (croft) and Harrison (ford).
It wasn't the names more than the origins I took issue with. Well mainly Lara. On our list of names a few were discounted by DH as being too popular, so I discounted Harrison for that reason too.

NameChange30 · 13/10/2017 22:15

strawberry
We have similar taste! I mentioned Toby up thread and also like Max, ruled out though because of my surname.

onemorecakeplease · 13/10/2017 22:25

Henry or Harry for ds (too English for dh)

Dd would still have her name, I loved it so much he came around

trinitybleu · 13/10/2017 22:25

From when I was a teenager, they would have been Niall, Quinn, Harper, Savannah, Sienna, Hunter...

Whilst pregnant, DP vetoed Willow, Imogen, Meredith.

Aspieparent · 13/10/2017 22:31

Ds1 would have been McKenzie
Ds2 would have been Jacob
Ds3 would have been Frankie

Dh didn't like any of them I do love the names they have.

BeanoNoir · 13/10/2017 22:35

Dd would have been Esther

Ds would have been Dexter. Not if Esther had worked out though, they don't seem to work together.

Looking back in really glad they have got the names they have though.

I think Dh would have gone for Betty and Archie.

We ended up with none of these. I like them all but they weren't 'the ones'. Very happy with their names.

Vegangelist · 14/10/2017 12:16

I got my most-loved first names. But had DH had no say I'd have added two extra middle names. Eldest is seven and I'm still a bit sad I didn't get to use some extra middle names.
