These baby naming threads get weirder each day
Pegasus?????? Seriously???

villainousbroodmare · 19/07/2017 12:08

BertrandRussell are you mad? Grin It's Phar Lap!

LaContessaDiPlump · 19/07/2017 12:09

Sorry, but the words 'Are you fucking kidding?' came out of my mouth involuntarily. I'm not sure the world is ready for this name pairing!!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 19/07/2017 12:11

Pegasus and Daisy.

Go for it!

LaContessaDiPlump · 19/07/2017 12:11

Although I have to say Philomena isn't too bad.....

DearTeddyRobinson · 19/07/2017 12:20

I did an economics degree. Maybe I should have called my kids Aggregate Demand and Supply Curve?!

BertrandRussell · 19/07/2017 12:26

BertrandRussell are you mad? grin It's Phar Lap!"

Good Lord, is it? I've never seen it written down. It was my father's default child friendly swear word......

Littlelondoner · 19/07/2017 13:29

Peggy and phil...is your surname mitchell?

FizzyGreenWater · 19/07/2017 13:51

Please reconsider the matching initials thing- it's so naff for twins, like they're a pair of kittens or something! They're going to be similar enough as it is- give them a differing initial?

Hector and Ariadne are nice

TonySopranosVest · 19/07/2017 14:19

Must.Not.Type.Horse.Puns.

Pegasus sounds like a Strong and Stable name

I'm sure Pegasus will become mane stream evenutually

--Calling your son Pegasus will be giving him unnecessary hurdles in life

GetOutOfMyBath · 19/07/2017 14:29

Ha ha! Very good Tony

Ok, the vibe I'm getting about Pegasus isn't - broadly - great. You give the impression that it would work as the name of a team on The Apprentice, but not a child. Fair enough.

Damon - "Damon is a God from the Greek mythology, who symbolized trust and loyalty in friendship. He risked his life to stand for his friend."

Seems like a good choice if you want to name a DS after a Greek god.

MikeUniformMike · 19/07/2017 14:35

Fizzy, I don't particularly like like your name choices and there's nothing wrong with having children with the same initial.
-Unless you have so many children that you have to use weird spellings when you have used all the names starting with that letter.-

TheLegendOfBeans · 19/07/2017 15:11

Actually LOLing in public @TonySopranosVest

BasiliskStare · 19/07/2017 18:54

This is the only time I have been minded to post rather than read on this thread.

It is only my opinion , not yours , but I do think Pegasus could be rather an albatross round the neck in the future ( or indeed the wings on the back ) . Personally - I wouldn't - but your choice.

I actually quite like Hector. Not sure I would associate it with "hectoring" necessarily.

And Bertrand - Shadowfax - Smile Love the idea in late teens early 20s phoning "shad" ha ha

MikeUniformMike · 19/07/2017 19:58

Hector would get called Hec. Not keen.

TroysMammy · 19/07/2017 20:08

Cassandra and Troy
Penelope and Jason

MrsPicklesonSmythe · 19/07/2017 20:09

Philomena's are elderly Irish aunties.

Pegasus.... No it's not good

Sorry

krakentoast · 19/07/2017 21:15

Hahaha GetOut you've prompted me to mine old Apprentice team names for baby name inspo now. Some options:

Apollo
Alpha
Stealth
Velocity
Sterling
Phoenix
Nebula
Odyssey

I've seen worse on here tbh!

UserThenLotsOfNumbers · 19/07/2017 21:25

No sorry those names are a bit much together.

fannyanddick · 19/07/2017 22:19

😂 but if you're in parts of North London they'll fit right it.

GetOutOfMyBath · 19/07/2017 23:01

As it happens I am in North London fanny!

Pegasus definitely works better as a name of a team on the Apprentice than as a name for a human child. A million times better.

Hector would be a much better choice.

BasiliskStare · 20/07/2017 01:44

Nah - go with Apollo and Odyssey or Titan and Challenger if you have two more. Circe and Jason? Scylla and Charybdis?

I like Hector.

I prefer John

Too old to have another but if I were to & a boy - John it would be. Much underrated in my book.
