Totally stuck and it's starting to stress me out now! I thought she might look like one or the other once she'd arrived but it's not become any clearer. It will be one of these two so please don't suggest any others!

Imogen (immy) or matilda (mattie).

Imogen seems a little more timeless and elegant to me, maybe better for an adult? But there is something lovely about the sound of matilda and mattie seems so much cuter and cuddlier! I'm not keen on tilly though and realise she may choose that herself I the future if we go with matilda. I know both are reasonably popular and I'm not bothered about that, would be interested to hear opinions (not too harsh please as it will def be one of these two)

Both are lovely so you can't really go wrong, but Matilda is one of my all time favourite names.

Why don't you flip a coin? You don't have to go with the results but your initial gut reaction (happiness or disappointment) might make you realise you do have a preference you're not currently aware of

Loyly · 14/06/2017 19:06

Imogen

NameChange30 · 14/06/2017 19:08

Imogen

But really I couldn't possibly say without seeing a photo of your new DD.

Bubblysqueak · 14/06/2017 19:09

Love both and also love Immy and Tilda so I'm no help. Looks like you'll have to have another so you can use both Wink

Daffydil · 14/06/2017 19:10

We had the exact same dilemma 16 months ago. We went with Imogen. I love it, and we haven't met another yet.

namechangeforholiday · 14/06/2017 19:25

Congratulations.

Please post a picture

Incase you don't I prefer Imogen

MollyHuaCha · 14/06/2017 19:28

Congratulations Easter Smile.
Imogen for me.

DuncanDonut · 14/06/2017 19:30

Imogen from me too!

I really don't like 'Mattie'

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 14/06/2017 19:30

Imogen, love Immy.

Biscuitsneeded · 14/06/2017 19:30

Congratulations. Billions of Imogens round here, not so many Matildas. I prefer Matilda too.

auntym · 14/06/2017 19:31

Congratulations Smile I would go with Imogen.

BeanSprout79 · 14/06/2017 19:36

Imogen. I know an Imogen and she is a lovely person, a very kind soul.

UnbornMortificado · 14/06/2017 19:40

Matilda is the best name ever (not that I'm biased) but it automatically got shortened to
Tilly so I'd be careful.

Congratulations Flowers

wizzler · 14/06/2017 19:47

I agree with Lemondrops suggestion. ... otherwise.. Matilda

Sophronia · 14/06/2017 19:58

Matilda.

jinglebellmel · 14/06/2017 20:06

Thanks for all your responses :) so general consensus seems to be imogen - I think my head says imogen too but I keep going back to mattie so wondering if this is where my heart lies! So rubish at decisions! For those saying they needed a pic to decide this is little immy-mat....

I prefer Immy/Imogen. I like Matilda but people will assume they are Tilly and I'm not so keen. Mattie is cute.

GlitterRollerSkate · 14/06/2017 20:07

She's beautiful congratulations :)

AdaColeman · 14/06/2017 20:07

Imogen!

Matilda has been quite popular recently, so though a pretty name, I think Imogen would be the better choice.

UnbornMortificado · 14/06/2017 20:10

She's beautiful can't believe how much hair she has already. Congratulations again.

SuperBeagle · 14/06/2017 20:34

I love Matilda

I love Immy to but don't like Imogen as much Grin

NameChange30 · 14/06/2017 20:44

Ahhhh so cute and so much hair! 😍

It hasn't helped though, I think both names would suit her.

What does your DH/DP think?

knobblykneesandturnedouttoes · 14/06/2017 20:56

I wasn't sure which I preferred but after seeing her, I'm certain she's a Mattie. She's absolutely beautiful. So cute, congratulations 😊

harderandharder2breathe · 14/06/2017 21:08

Aww look at all that hair! She's gorgeous!

Imogen

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 14/06/2017 21:13

That's a Matilda
