Which do you prefer? No other variations or spellings considered.

I like both! Don't know any small Laurens though so that might sway me in its favour

Sophronia · 22/05/2017 18:15

Sophie. Lauren is a bit dated.

ColourfulOrangex · 22/05/2017 18:19

Lauren, Sophie is too popular

AndNowItIsSeven · 22/05/2017 18:22

Is is 1995 again? Both are lovely names but very dated.

ShatnersBassoon · 22/05/2017 18:23

Lauren. I'm not keen on -ie names, and I don't know any Laurens.

00100001 · 22/05/2017 18:23

Hmm

I'd go for Sophie

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 22/05/2017 18:23

Sophie

JoWithABow · 22/05/2017 18:23

Lauren, because there are lots of Sophie's but Lauren is less popular, especially for girls born at the moment.
Which do you prefer?

Underthemoonlight · 22/05/2017 18:27

Sophie it's my dd such a timeless classic name.

tessiebear4 · 22/05/2017 18:28

Corrie addict fact:
Sophie Webster was originally called Lauren. Rosie (her sister) persuaded her mum and dad to change it to Sophie.
Am sure that's hugely helpful Grin

ElizaDontlittle · 22/05/2017 18:30

Ooh, like both of those. I'd really struggle to choose but maybe go for Lauren due to it being less popular.

Lemondrop99 · 22/05/2017 18:40

Both are nice so I don't think you can go wrong. My personal preference would be for Sophie, beautiful and classic

Whereisthecake · 22/05/2017 18:42

Lauren, but that's my name haha.

bigchris · 22/05/2017 18:43

Lauren for exactly this reason Lauren, because there are lots of Sophie's but Lauren is less popular, especially for girls born at the moment

MaryWortleyMontagu · 22/05/2017 18:46

Sophia Lauren?!

crunched · 22/05/2017 18:47

I love Sophie.
I struggle to say Lauren - because I somehow overthink it and it comes out as L'wren - as in Ralph Lauren or indeed, Sophia Loren.
Anyway, I know I'm wrong/a twit but the two Lauren's I know, both say they prefer it my way.
HTH but suspect it won't Blush

Wafflenose · 22/05/2017 18:49

Lauren!

Doglover83 · 22/05/2017 18:52

Sophie :)

alltouchedout · 22/05/2017 18:59

Sophie by a mile. Partly because my cousin's eldest daughter is Lauren and she is a horrible, horrible woman

sureitsgrand · 22/05/2017 19:03

I love Lauren. Would have been ds name if he'd been a girl.

Rockaby · 22/05/2017 19:04

I like both but slightly prefer Lauren

CherryMintVanilla · 22/05/2017 19:05

Lauren is a really dull sounding name to me (no offence to any lurking Laurens!) I prefer Sophie.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 22/05/2017 19:05

Lauren. There are far too many Sophies around now. Lauren is virtually unheard of now.

That's something I thought I'd never have said 20 years ago.

MadisonAvenue · 22/05/2017 19:06

Sophie. Lauren just seems really dated.

Butterymuffin · 22/05/2017 19:11

Five million Sophies in my area, so Lauren.
