Help please! Which is your favourite out of:
Roscoe
Flynn
Holden for a boy?

Will have a normal British surname beginning with E

Thanks.

I'm sure lots of people will hate some/all of these so I'd be really grateful if they'd just decline to comment rather than tell me how awful they all are

Flynn

Notmyrealname85 · 17/05/2017 11:17

Roscoe! Never heard it before

Could shorten to Ross if ever need to nag him :)

Cherrypi · 17/05/2017 11:17

Roscoe. It is the name of Lewis Hamilton's dog though.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 17/05/2017 11:19

Roscoe

blue2014 · 17/05/2017 11:19

Roscoe - I really like it

MyWhatICallNameChange · 17/05/2017 11:21

Flynn

Flynn

alltouchedout · 17/05/2017 11:22

Flynn, although tbh none of these names particularly appeal to me

SuperBeagle · 17/05/2017 11:23

Love Flynn.

Also like Roscoe a lot. Does sound like an Australian nickname for Ross, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Not a fan of Holden at all. To me, it's a car make or that whiny prick from Catcher in the Rye.

MelinaMercury · 17/05/2017 11:24

I really like Roscoe.

But say it aloud a few times just to make sure it goes with your surname as in my head I automatically had it as Elliot and the vowel to vowel sounds blends to much and becomes one big long noise, although that could be my Glasgow accent :o

Flynn

Flynn is lovely :) Not sure on Holden or Roscoe

DrizzleHair · 17/05/2017 11:24

Thanks for votes so far and thanks for not being mean to me!

I think Roscoe is my fave but I also love Flynn. I've added Holden back in after I vetoed it - it's DP's favourite, so he might be upset you don't like it (muahahahah)

Flynn

LarrytheCucumber · 17/05/2017 11:25

Holden is an Australian make of car. Roscoe sounds like a character in an American TV programme, in fact I think there was a Roscoe in Dukes of Hazard.
So Flynn gets my vote.

Bythebeach · 17/05/2017 11:25

Absolutely love Flynn!

Hmm out of those, Flynn and Holden are more like surnames in my mind so I'd say Roscoe, however there was a dog called Roscoe in a tv show I watched in childhood. So I'd be inclined to call him Ross which is a bit more of a 'human name' and a nice unique one these days too Smile

OutnumberedbyFurchesters · 17/05/2017 11:28

Flynn :)

Or Roscoe, though it does sound like an american sitcom.

octoberfarm · 17/05/2017 11:30

Flynn and Holden are by far my favorites.

Avasmummy16 · 17/05/2017 11:30

Another vote for Flynn, but I also like Roscoe as it's different and I don't think that in many years to come that people will remember that Lewis Hamilton's dog had same nameSmile

GinGeum · 17/05/2017 11:32

I like Flynn! In my head, your surname is Edwards, and Flynn Edwards sounds lovely. Of course, that may not be your surname Grin

DrizzleHair · 17/05/2017 11:34

Not far off the surname GinGeum, definitely the right kind of sound.

I'm torn between Flynn and Roscoe now - I don't mind going for something which fewer people like, but I want to avoid something everyone hates.

I had not heard about Lewis's dog. Hmmm. Will take that into consideration forget it during labour

Does anyone have the Breaking Bad association with Flynn? I don't want my name choices to scream 'I watch too much TV'!
