Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
DeanKoontz · 02/05/2017 22:31

I don't like Florian or Adeline (too close to Aveline (Boswell))

Ada is nice.

QuietNameChange · 02/05/2017 22:32

DH just said that I should also add Apolline. (Pretty much seconds after I clicked the "create conversation button...)

So: :)
Anthony
William
Florian
Jonathan
Magnus (will be used as a middle name if not as a first)

Erica
Louisa
Isidora
Adaline (do you prefer Ada?)
Apolline

Thank you :)

Louisa and Isadora (Is Isidora even a spelling?) maybe consider Hebe, Hera or Ariadne?

Magnus is my fave of your boys names.

QuietNameChange · 02/05/2017 22:47

Yes, Isidora is a spelling :)

We have actually considered Ariadne. But I don't like it.

But thank you for these suggestions.

❤️ Jonathan Magnus
Apolline Louisa is very pretty.

bridgetreilly · 02/05/2017 22:57

You have a mix of classic, normal names: William, Anthony, Jonathan, Erica, Louisa and very distinctive unusual names: Florian, Isidora, Apolline. Maybe decide which kind of name you want to go for first?

Sophronia · 02/05/2017 22:58

Love Florian, Jonathan, Magnus, Louisa, Isidora and Apolline.

DramaAlpaca · 02/05/2017 23:01

Boys' list are all fab, with the exception of Florian which I'm not keen on. If I had to pick my favourite it would be Magnus.

From your girls' list, I love Louisa and think it goes perfectly with Clarissa.

Erica is quite nice too, but I'm not mad on the others.

QuietNameChange · 02/05/2017 23:04

sugar
Thanks :)

I should have mentioned that the middle names are already "set in stone", sorry...

bridge:

Oh gosh, no idea :) The name that goes best with Clarissa or is liked the most and/or just "feels right"? I personally really like all of these (well, I am actually a little bit unsure about Apolline, but DH honestly loves it). But I am really indecisive, unfortunately...

William or Louisa by a mile

228agreenend · 02/05/2017 23:05

Not keen on Anthony. Other boys names are great. Florian is unusual but fab.

Don't like Erica.

QuietNameChange · 02/05/2017 23:34

Drama

Aww, thanks :) It seems like our boy's names are a bit more liked than the girl's.

228: I also like Florian. Plus, the godmother (my sister) is named Flora. Which makes this name "extra lovely" in my personal opinion...

pipilangstrumpf · 02/05/2017 23:37

Love Florian and Jonathan.

William could get teased with Willy.

Of your girls names I like Louisa and Apoline.

PirateQueenie · 02/05/2017 23:43

The only one I like on there is Ada personally ❤

QuietNameChange · 02/05/2017 23:53

Pirate

Better one than none? ;)

Pipi

True... That would be rather awful. :/

PirateQueenie · 02/05/2017 23:58

Quiet indeed! Nothing wrong with any of these names at all, they just aren't my usual style. I do love Ada though :)

WhiteHairReally · 03/05/2017 00:01

I think you are going to live in Scotland, from a previous post.

I love there and know grown men called Willie with no sniggering.

I think Florian might have a potentially hard time.

QuietNameChange · 03/05/2017 00:04

White

Yes, we are. Good memory ;) But we don't know if we're going to stay longterm. But it does seem really perfect (for DH's career [which has kind of... suffered because of mine, if I'm perfectly honest...], my job etc...)

Why would Florian have a harder time?

OP posts:
WyfOfBathe · 03/05/2017 00:16

I like Anthony or William for a boy, and Ada for a girl (or Adeline nn Ada)

WyfOfBathe · 03/05/2017 00:16

*Adaline

mum2be2boys · 03/05/2017 05:39

Some lovely names! My favourites are William and Magnus from your boys list, and Louisa and Ada from your girls list.

Pansiesandredrosesandmarigolds · 03/05/2017 05:47

Boys: Anything but Florian. Girls: Anything but Apolline.

I'd go for Magnus (assuming you and DH aren't petite) and Isadora (Izzy/Dora). Isidora will just confuse people.

Congratulations btw.

Nametrekking · 03/05/2017 06:55

William by a long way for boys, lovely name!

Girls is harder but I would say Isadora spelt with an A, it looks a little made up with an I (IMO). The others I think might be hard to pull off and don't go so well with your other DD's name

flyingpinkduckgirl · 03/05/2017 07:10

Love Isidora and really like Louisa out of your girl's names.

You boys names are mainly fine, Jonathan is my favourite (but I hate John so wouldn't name my child that)
I hate Florian though.... Sorry!

GuardianOfMyGalaxy · 03/05/2017 07:12

Louisa or Jonathan are the only ones that 'go' with Clarissa imo.

The Clarissas I know have siblings called Annabel, Daphne and Daniel.
