I have just come across someone who proudly bears the name of Buckmaster de Wolf. It is the awesomest name I have ever heard! Does anyone have any similar awesome names?

Really enjoying these fabulous names!

I went to school with a Cherry Flann. Smile

Feelingkenty · 25/04/2017 11:41

I used to work with a Poppy Papadopoulos (married name).

My maiden name was also an alliteration (think Keira Kycadome) - I always felt it sounded like a character name in a piece of bad fiction

At dc's school there is a Nimrod and a Godspower

Curlyshabtree · 25/04/2017 11:59

Where I used to work there was a Christian Cripwell and at University there was a girl called Helen Pine-Coffin. DH had lots of weird and wonderful names ready for a boy. Luckily our 2nd was a girl and we had already chosen quite a normal name.

I had a boss called Richard smellie, he doesn't shorten it to Dick though, the rest of the team do.

NeonGod73 · 25/04/2017 13:17

I like long, melodic names such as:
Evander Holyfield
Ermenegildo Zegna
Salvatore Ferragamo
Milo Ventimiglia
(I hope I spelt them right)

Pigflewpast · 25/04/2017 13:33

Phil De Greywater - known to all as Boggy
Dd has a friend Sky Frost, which I think is fabulous, her brother is called Jack

tarheelbaby · 25/04/2017 13:35

Vasili Manthos was in my Homeric Greek class at university. We used to go around repeating his name under our breath because it rolled out of the mouth so nicely.

A uni friend of DH's is Dr. Dickon Love and his father is Rev. Love.

Some friends' daughter named her new baby Scarlett Poppy Fields.

My father printed some change of name cards for a lady called Andrea Buttles who changed her name to Butolph, which in the local accent must have come out more like butt-off.

Mungo Stacy

In my hometown there is a family of doctors: Dr Wehbie (to rhyme with freebie)
Briony Shaw (briney shore) was a UK windsurfer from the summer Olympics last year.

A young cousin of DH is Hudson Harley

Does anyone have an unusual name and keep looking at threads like this to see if they get mentioned? I do Grin and no, I'm not telling

BellMcEnd · 25/04/2017 14:03

RunBikeSki - DH used to work with a Hamish Patel which I thought was a great fusion name.

QuimReaper and LionsTeeth, along with Miss Nazareth, the other RE teacher at my Convent secondary school was Miss Jordan.

Is it mandatory for RE teachers to have appropriate names, I wonder? ("Sorry Mrs Jones, you've been unsuccessful in your application for Head of RE as your name does not fulfill the essential criteria")
