I have just come across someone who proudly bears the name of Buckmaster de Wolf. It is the awesomest name I have ever heard! Does anyone have any similar awesome names?

Oh and I went to school with a family on Conway-Crapps - I suspect they didn't end up working for the Welsh Tourist Board

HectorPlasm · 25/04/2017 23:22

Fozzleyplum · 25/04/2017 23:40

Has anyone mentioned brothers Rupert and Edward Bear, who had a solicitors' practice in Nottingham?

Bloodybridget · 25/04/2017 23:49

A distant ancestor of mine was Neptune Blood.

KimJongCunt · 25/04/2017 23:54

I know a Jacinta Barnes-Jones.

I think it sounds undeniably glamorous.

MrsLorimerlives · 26/04/2017 07:32

My dentist as a child was Mr Mercy
My Doctor is Dr Watson
My small daughter has an incredibly gorgeous little friend called Valentine - poor lad will probably grow up to be a munter but at present he's all big eyes, long lashes and all the mums fuss him Grin

Igneococcus · 26/04/2017 08:02

In dp's family tree is someone called Humble Broom.

Papergirl1968 · 26/04/2017 08:15

I know of a DT teacher called Mrs Glews and another teacher called Mr Rea (pronounced Ree - mystery).

Sunbeam18 · 26/04/2017 08:32

Went to school with a Walter Whisker
We had someone at work with the first name of Babyshark (surname was fairly normal but can't remember it)

MrsGotobed · 26/04/2017 08:38

Hugh Cumber has me chuckling away here Grin

Surely his parents must have realised?

OhTheRoses · 26/04/2017 08:40

Ha ha, you've reminded me MrsGotobed, I know a Dr Gotobed. Is he yours?

GivenupontheGarden · 26/04/2017 08:44

Coolest name?

"Isambard Kingdom Brunel". If that isn't cool, then I don't know what is.

MrsGotobed · 26/04/2017 08:46

Oh TheRoses, no nothing to do with me but glad to hear there's a real person with the name, especially a Doctor.

I chose the name because when I read Carrie's War as a child I always thought it would be a great name to have.

BikeRunSki · 26/04/2017 08:51

I used to work for Dr Valentine and Dr Money.

SecretNortherner · 26/04/2017 09:12

My brother was friends with a lad called Joseph King. Joe for short.

tarheelbaby · 26/04/2017 09:35

MotherofPearl · 26/04/2017 09:40

Totally Givenup. I'm also a big fan of

William Makepeace Thackeray

The Victorians knew how to do names eh?

PussCatTheGoldfish · 26/04/2017 09:44

There's a Dr Love in the local town who does vasectomies. Grin

cakesonatrain · 26/04/2017 10:11

I knew a Dianna Roxanne Kanannowitz (?sp)
I told her I loved her name.

My mum met a Mr Wildgoose.

ExConstance · 26/04/2017 10:21

I had my horse schooled by a man called Hartley Larishe, despite his exotic name he was a very down to earth Gloucestershire type of person. In relation to the behaviour of the bolshy Highland he would say "I've got a vote, You've got a vote but he hasn't got a vote"

CaoNiMartacus · 26/04/2017 10:32
