Emmanuelle first impressions?

First impressions on Emmanuelle? It's the only girl's name so far that DH & I both like, but the few Emmanuelle's we've known have been French and I'm not confident it works outside French culture? We don't have French heritage btw. Nickname probably Emmy.

A couple of French names I have always liked are Garence and Ghislaine. Fabienne and Pascale are nice too.

It's nice and I think works OK in anglophone country. Most French Emmanuelles have the nickname "Manu"

The boys name Emmanuel is pronounced differently.

I must admit that the porn films did cross my mind but weren't they from the seventies, I bet they're positively chaste compared to the porn that's around these days.

Then I thought of the beautiful (until she sadly started tinkering with her face) Emmanuelle Béart.
